LoL Either your reading comprehension is low, or you're pretty ignorant about how this kind of thing works. Because YOU aren't having any problems, it must be the end users fault? *rolls eyes* Many people who stated having the issue (including myself) already mentioned that they followed the "rules", by enabling cookies, trying ad blockers, etc. with no difference. I'm not complaining, because it's still one of the best sites to get all of this stuff, and I understand needing ads to help pay for stuff, however, doesn't mean it isn't an annoyance in the long run. Glad you're having luck though, but screw everyone else that isn't, right? Good attitude.

 

I get ads every 30 seconds or so.
Using Chrome on Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.6.7, and XUbuntu 10.10 64bit.
Cookies enabled on all three machines.

Exactly. Besides, I did not turn on the script was nor did I have problems when we were PPCWarez. But reading it's now MY fault is particularly lame.

With Chrome I find that if I enable Adblock, I get the ad page (with no content) every click on Mobilism.
If I disable Adblock I only get the ad (with content) once per day or so.

Yes, I was getting the ads every time I entered a thread using Chrome, after excluding Mobilism from adblock all was well again.

Guys please try removing mobilism.org from your adblock, this will allow it to store a cookie that stops the page from showing more than once in 24 hours.

Or maybe users donate to help support ad-free mobilism?

Perhaps paid members option so only paid members dont get ads?

I would pay, I love this site.

I think it just ruins the site with ads on every page and redirects.

I understand it's "once" every 24 hours. But it would also help them with the server costs and stuff.

Another thing, can't we use upload sites that don't restrict?

I'm unable to log in anymore in my mobile browser (UC Browser) thanks to the full-screen Gunggo ad (with timer).

Cookies are enabled : I'm getting that darn ad on every mobilism page i try to open.
Also : The timer won't work in mobile browsers like UC or Opera Mini (limited or no JavaScript support), so I'm stuck there ...

I can't access the forum from mobile anymore (well, theoretically i could use another browser; but that is not my intention), please fix this ...

I have this stupid problem as well adds every 30 seconds. All mentioned advice (cookies, ad-blocker, a.s.o.) that needed half an hour to be read do not work.
I'll stop visiting the forum until this is properly solved (after all this is mainly a software forum, it should be run by people with some experience with the stuff)

use to be my favorite site, but with FORCED full page ads, LAME.

Have the two of you tried disabling your adblocker so that it lets your browser save the cookie that stops the ad from showing up?

Same thing here. Using Opera Mini on my WM 6.1 phone and can't access mobilism cause of the full-screen ad. No timer on the add and no chance to access any mobilism page cause of that. PC works fine, ad appearing only once in 24 hours

No matter if AdBlock is disabled or enabled, this stupid ad ceases to go... admins cant you do something about it ...

i just got adblock n now there are NO more ads
