As I'm sure you've noticed by the colors and statuses of various members, Mobilism has many different types of users. This sticky will outline the different usergroups of the forum, as well as well as the requirements for joining each of them. Please note however that fulfilling all requirements mentioned for joining a usergroup does not guarantee or entitle you to immediate acceptance.

Administrators (and Section Heads)
Username color: Red
Description: The most powerful of the staff positions. Administrators are users assigned the highest level of control over the board. These people can control all facets of board operation which include setting permissions, banning users, creating usergroups or moderators, etc. Most administrators are section heads, although not all section heads are administrators. Section heads and responsible for a part of the site, choose their own moderators, and decide how their section will progress.
Membership Requirements: Massive activity on the forum. Competence, intelligence, creativity, and an ability to lead.

Technicians
Username color: Pink
Description: Staff position. These guys are responsible for managing the technical aspects of the site, the coding, security, performance, etc.
Membership Requirements: Good knowledge of php, sql and server management.

Moderators
Username Color: Green
Description: Staff position. Moderators ensure that everything runs smoothly. They can delete, reward and categorize the topics of others, ban users who break the rules, and settle any problems or disputes that may arise. Moderators are usually part of a certain team, for example the Android team or Windows Mobile team.
Membership Requirements: Huge activity on the forum. Good English. When choosing moderators, the staff looks for quality rather than how many posts the user has. Being able to make good suggestions and help other users is very important. Self-control, intelligence and reliability are also taken into account.


Major Releasers
Username Color: Purple
Description: Reward title for users extremely active in making releases. Members of this group receive access to the VIP Area (VIP Releases, VIP Requests, VIP Talk) and the Major Releaser Area.
Membership Requirements: Depends on section but at least 30 releases. All releases have to be approved and correctly formatted.

Platinum VIPs
Username color: Blue
Description: Special VIP status with all of the normal VIP privileges, access to an http proxy run through mobilism's servers with no logs or cache (pm me for more information), a @mobilism.org email, and the option to clear all IP logs on the forum, have a custom title, name change, or PM limit increase.
Membership Requirements: For members who have donated more than $80

VIPs
Username Color: Blue
Description: VIPs are members who have either donated to support Mobilism or have done an important service for the site. VIPs have access to the VIP Area which contains VIP Releases, VIP Requests and VIP Talk.
Membership Requirements: Donation of more than $10 to support Mobilism and help pay for upkeep costs.

Developers
Username color: Blue
Description: Status for software developers active on Mobilism.
Membership Requirements: Being a known software developer

Release Testers
Username color: Grey
Description: Members of this usergroup write high quality reviews of releases
Membership Requirements: Currently under reconstruction
