You can use WinRAR for that and MultiPAR for PAR2 files.
You can place the filename in the post.
Some commercial usenetprovider have a retention of 1200 days.

another good site is www.datafilehost.com/. Unlimited uploads, unlimited downloads, no timers, no country restrictions, and while uploads are capped at 100 megs that's more than enough for a site like this one.

I can't figure out for the life of me why people upload to annoying sites that make you constantly wait to d/l

Their server is located in the US. I guess most people don't have a clue as to why megaupload was closed, and they are commenting here about waiting times, etc. While I agree that some hosts like extabit are too complicated, I wouldn't think it'd be worth complaining for a few seconds of waiting time and a couple of ads. Even mobilism shows a full page ad. So what?

We have to appreciate people for the time -at times in hours- they are spending to help each other, and if someone looks to get something out of it, lets leave it to them. I think you shouldn't complain for a minute or 2 of your time for using PAID apps for FREE!

I'd appreciate a healthy argument to my opinion. If someone feels like swearing, please do so through IM. Lets please keep the thread clean! :)

People should claim their money back. Paypal claim works.

I lost a lifetime Megaupload account as well as a year Filesonic account during all of this. Both providers have refused to refund me ;\ I thought about contacting my bank, but I'm fairly sure I'm only covered by them for 90 to 180 days, which at least means I was burned for a "lifetime" account.

best alternative could be Russian hosted flie sharing site like http://turbobit.net/ ranked 1000+ or  http://depositfiles.com/ ranked 300+ found new Russian hosted site http://extabit/ pays for 1kb file
Russian government not going to censor INTERNET
if you are giving two link http://uploaded.to must be best alternative because they banned us ip..

Those website may be go offline in future so
I will suggest everyone to use mass mirror site..

as far as i knoe, by registering .COM, .NET, .MOBI, .ORG top level domains, you put yourself under the jurisdiction of the United States of Emerica. this in turn gives the feds lotsa reasons to take down your sites whenever they see fit. any file sharing sites using those tlds, just wait for there doomsday, even if there not hosting there sites on the US soil, or denying US netizens access to there sites.

I would not have thought the yanks have any juristiction whatsoever over domain names, whats it got to do with them.
They do not own or control the internet even though they seem to think they do.

Update: Rapishare is basically down now. Unless you don't mind download speeds of about 100 kilobytes per second, the site has become basically useless for streaming videos.

IP addresses are starting to get blocked.
