Yes indeed, speed is now pushing the boundaries of relativity and I no longer have to remember to access the site only during European AM - congrats to all you wonderful people!

This is one of the best sites on the Internet bar none! Be a man and support (MAKE DONATIONS) it!

The problems and efforts necessary for keeping the site healthy and available is a huge chore and the folks here give an incredible amount of their own time, energy, and resources for the cause. It seems horrible that with so many viewers/users, so many fail to donate, in some form, to do their part to support the site.

I'm all for open access to the Internet but real costs need to be covered. I'm sure there has been discussion about some form of paid subscription model and I think it warrants some serious consideration. If everyone who partakes in the site contributes, it would be a very small amount and hardly warrant good faith recognition.

There are other sites that make it quite painless to donate and remain active and a solid contributing citizen. The Newzbin site is worth taking a look. It costs maybe a couple bucks a month and you can easily purchase x number of weeks of membership.

Something like this would not only keep just the servers and pipes working for us but also might even allow a small reserve to fund those nasty folks who want to take the site down very badly, a very bad thing for all of us.

PLEASE support the site as the admins here are far too nice and classy to press harder on users to help out.

If you got this far a big THANKS, now go donate!

Posts from today have been moved to the recycle bin. Do not flame each other, every dollar in donations counts whether you can afford $1 or $1000.

If you would like to know how to achieve VIP status after donating (regardless of email address) check this post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1533

As stated, a PM to lifehacker with email address and amount will make you a VIP.

Sorry Sdawson,
and thank you for answering my questions.
for some reason when I searched I was unable to find the answer to them,
I'm usually pretty good at finding what I need when I search.
It was probably to do user error, aka my fault. :D
