How do you Rate this topic, as man.... this is one AWESOME POST!!!! thank you so much.....

Most of this I already knew, over the last few weeks of getting to learn and understand iPhones and iTouches..... :)

However, what this post does do so very well is a CENTRAL guide/location for absolutely everything ya need, and MORE!!!

Guys ... THat's PERFECT ... just have a question ... what about T-Mobile that i have to switch 3G off !!! ?????
coz i'm livin in germany ... just got my Iphone 3gs ... and as some of you might know ... its exclusively through T-Mobile .... !!!

ive put some apps onto itunes and synced

it said it installed but i cant find them on my iphone?

Since I think Jail breaking it will Void my Guarantee

if you need to take the phone in for a warranty do a full restore of the device from ITunes, all traces of a jailbreak will be erased.


Note: do not sync your device and restore settings from backup after restoring for warranty purposes.


anyway, any chance of PPCwarez having their own source? :)

you have to disable 3g on the tmobile iphone because it wont allow certain system files to be changed whilst jailbreaking. If it isnt disabled the files cannot be changed as they are protected, so ultrasnow,purplerain etc wont work.

Successfully jailbroken my first ipod touch 2g, thx for this, and I can confirm that everything works great under windows vista. One note is to make sure you have iTunes v8.2 prior to restoring ipod.

hi im very new to the iphone (coming from 3+ years of winmo) so with some of these apps that are on this site for the iphone do all of them require me to jailbreak my iphone? like the tom tom one or the navigon app in particular?
