How to install Cracked Apps

FIRST METHOD:

Create the folder: /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
Put .deb app(s) in folder: /AutoInstall
Reboot AND Respring

SECOND METHOD:

Download "Mobile Terminal" from Cydia
Copy .deb file(s) to: "var/mobile" via sFTP (transmit, cyberduck, winscp, iphonebrowser, etc...)
Open Mobile Terminal on the iphone
Type this command: su
When asked for the iphone password type: alpine
If you want to install all files type this command: dpkg -i *.deb
Respring

THIRD METHOD:

Install AppCake from Cydia through this source: http://cydia.iphonecake.com/ (AppCake 1.0 allows you to install .IPA and .DEB files directly from your
iphone or from the net)
Copy .deb files into var/mobile/Media/AppCake/Upload
Open Appcake
Go to Task
Click the .deb or .ipa you transfered (or downloded)
Click install and voilà
When you close the application a respring is automatically performed and the installed app shows up in your springboard

Fourth Method: For people with WiFi:

Open Cydia.
Add this source to Cydia: http://cydia.hackulo.us
Search for AppSync in Cydia and install.
Reboot your iPhone/iPod Touch.
Connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to iTunes.
Install one free app from the iTunes Store.
Copy the cracked Apps/Games (.ipa files) into your iTunes Library (just drag and drop to the iTunes window).
Sync with your iPhone/iPod Touch.

Fifth Method: For people without WiFi:

Using DiskAid, navigate to /usr/libexec on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
Copy the downloaded installd file to /usr/libexec overwriting the original file.
Using DiskAid, make two folders called Documents as follows:
/Applications/Documents
/User/Applications/Documents
Connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to iTunes, and install one free App from the iTunes Store.
Copy the cracked Apps/Games (.ipa files) into your iTunes Library (just drag and drop to the iTunes window).
Sync with your iPhone/iPod Touch.

How to convert your iphone .app's to .ipa's:

Some iPhone / iTouch Apps are free, we all know that, but sadly not all iTunes AppStores dispplay the same apps. For example you know the story of the Skype app. US users could enjoy the app, but Canadians for example couldnt. Simply Apple decides that some apps are only available for in the US appstore.

Here are two easy methods to do this:

CRACKULOUS

As you might know , this app created a lot of buzz over the www and of course a lot of controversy. Using this app you strip down the DRM of the apps, which means u crack them and you can share them with the world. But you can also you it on free apps. Get the app from the iTunes appstore, install it on your iPhone or iTouch and than crack it. In this case, if it’s a free app, you dont actually crack it, but you will be able to retrieve the .ipa file and share it with others. Get Crackulous from Cydia.

Manually (easiest)

This is as easy as it gets, but it has more steps and it requires some manual labor from you. First you need to SSH into your iPhone or iTouch and download the .app folder. Copy the .app folder into a folder called Payload . Once you get the .app folder into the Payload folder, just compress it with .zip extension using any compression software. Once compressed , just change the extension from XXX.zip to XXX.ipa. Thats it.

NOTE: Just to make this clear. Not all apps will work in an IPA state, since apps in IPA will be sandboxed and have limited access.For example,iBluetooth needs access to the chip or Cydia needs access to the whole filesystem.And most apps that do things that affect the whole system or use things from places other than their folder.

Enable Mobile Web, Internet Tethering & MMS Support on your iPhone 3G

Note: This does not require a Jailbroken iPhone 3G.)

To enable Mobile Web & Internet Tethering, use your iPhone 3G to visit:

Scroll down to 'Mobileconfigs,' then choose your carrier, and install the profile.
This will enable the tethering menu under Settings > General > Network.

After installing the Mobileconfig, YOU HAVE TO REBOOT to add MMS settings! Then go back to the same site on your iPhone 3G:

And scroll down to 'MMS Settings,' choose your carrier and copy the MMS settings.
Now go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network and edit your MMS settings accordingly.
Now you have Mobile Web, Internet Tethering & MMS support on your iPhone 3G.

Note: If there is no option under Settings > General > Network for Cellular Data Network, then download an app called 'APN Editing' from Cydia (This will require a Jailbroken iPhone 3G), in order to enable the Cellular Data Network menu.

How to get an American iTunes store account free in other countires:

If you're searching for apps not available on the Appstore of your country

Step 1: Change your Store

Launch iTunes on your computer and in the left side bar click on" iTunes Store". Scroll down the page and in “My Store" (in your language of course!) click on the name of your country and replace it with “United States". The page will turn into the corresponding American one.

Step 2: Search for a free application

In the search box, top right, type “Google” and click on "Enter". When you see the listed search results, click on "Get App” for "Google Mobile App", or "Google Earth".

Step 3: Create an American account, for free.

A. A small window will show up: click on “Create a new Account”

B. You'll see a page like this. Click on "Continue"
C. Check terms and conditions and go on

D. Type a valid email address, a password and a question with relative answer, which is required for password retrieval (if you lose it). Add your birth date and deselect last two items. Now click on “Continue”

E. In this new screen you'll be asked for personal information. Firstly, as payment method, select last item ”NONE “. Now you have to find a real address of the United States.

Google Maps can help you: go to http://maps.google.com/, and search for “Hotel California, San Diego” (for example). You'll get a list of results on the left; click for example on the first one and you'll see on the map all requested information.

You can also use the address of an Apple Retail Store in America. You'll find all addresses on the official site, copy and past one of them in iTunes, filling all available fields. At the end click on "Continue" and you'll see a page like this:

F. Done! Your American account is ready. Now you can syncronize your iPhone and use the Appstore to download all free applications.

Remember it's a free account.You can use this account to download free apps only, given that it isn't linked to you and/or your credit card.

If you don't receive the confirmation email, wait a little and check the "spam" mail folder.

Hi i got one Problem .
I Installed Cydia and Appsync after This i Reboot the Iphon by Pressing Homebutton and on of Buttun .
Now Itunes tells me that the Iphone have to be Restored after this all changes have gone.

What did you mean as Reboot ?

Is ther an other Metode to Reebot than mine ?

Setting Custom SMS Ringtones

The iPhone has 6 sms alerts. You can not have more than this, however, you are able to replace the 6 that are available, as long as you rename your custom files to match the ones in your UIsounds folder. I would recommend saving the stock tones to another folder as backup. The way you get custom tones is to replace these stock files in the UIsounds folder with yours, renaming yours to the original file names.

This will give you custom tones, however the names that show up under Text Messaging in your Settings will still display the originals (Chime, Tri-tone, etc.) So you will have to listen to each to know which one is which.

1. Use SSH to enter your phone.

2. Navigate to: System/Library/Audio/UIsounds

3. Scroll down to sms-received1.caf thru sms-received6.caf. These are your stock tones.

4. Using an audio converter (google: Switch Audio Converter), convert your .mp3 or other audio file to .aiff.

5. Now, rename your custom files to match what is in UIsounds. So you have for example, sms-received1.aiff.

6. Change the file extension from .aiff to .caf - So for example, now you have sms-received1.caff

7. Delete the original file from UIsounds. Drag and drop your new tone into UIsounds. Make sure the name matches exactly the file you are replacing.

8. Enjoy your new tone

How to change your SMS Background

1. Download and unzip sms.zip.

2. Then you place it into var/mobile.

3. Then you will open mobileterminal (available in cydia) .

4. type:
su root
alpine
dpkg -i SetWallpaper_2.1.0.deb

This will not work for themes. They must be in your camera roll. However if you put the picture in camera roll you will then be able to select to use it as a wallpaper.

There will be two "i" in circles. The left one sets your SMS the Right one sets your wallpaper on spring board.

Click the left icon and set then set wallpaper and respring.

This is uninstallable. To uninstall use Cydia.

How to connect to Your iPhone via SSH

SSH (secure shell) is a network protocol that allows data to be exchanged over a secure channel, in this case between a computer and your iPhone. If you have a jailbroken iPhone, an SSH connection over a wireless network is often the best way to browse your iPhone, carry out simple file transfer back and forth to the iPhone, or manually install applications to it. This short guide provides a rundown of how to establish an SSH connection to your iPhone.

A jailbroken iPhone. For this guide we will assume you are running the current latest iPhone firmware, Version 1.1.4.
An SSH program on your computer. A couple of good free options are WinSCP for a Windows PC, and Cyberduck for a Mac.
The BSD Subsystem installed on your iPhone. You’ll find this under the System category in Installer.
OpenSSH (or another SSH variant) installed on your iPhone. This is also found under the System Category in Installer.
iPhone and computer need to be on the same (usually wireless) network. For the sake of this guide, we’ll assume both are on a home wireless network.
An ability to turn SSH On and Off on the iPhone. SSH programs on the iPhone do not create an icon on the home screen, so one of the easiest ways to do this is to use the BossPrefs application on the iPhone (to install it you’ll need to add the BigBoss source to Installer – which is http://sleepers.net/iphonerepo). There are other iPhone applications that do this as well, but BossPrefs is currenty the best of these in my view.

Make a note of your iPhone’s IP address. To find this, on your iPhone go to Settings > WiFi and tap on the blue arrow to the right of the name of your home network. On the screen that comes up, note the set of numbers listed in the IP Address field.
Turn SSH On, on the iPhone. With BossPrefs and other similar applications, this is just a matter of tapping on the SSH entry to toggle it on and off. Please Note: it is good idea to make sure you toggle SSH back off when you are through using it.
Launch your SSH app on your computer. WinSCP will land you on a new ‘Session’ screen straight away. On Cyberduck, you’ll need to choose ‘Open New Connection’. See screencaps at the top of this post and below for a look at how these screens appear. Then you need to fill in a few fields to specify how you want to connect and what device you want to connect to. The fields are named slightly differently depending on which program you use, but they are similar enough that you should be able to fill them in as follows:
Hostname or Server = enter your iPhone’s IP address in this field
File Protocol = should be SCP on WinSCP and SFTP on Cyberduck
Username = enter ‘root’ (without the quotes) in this field
Password = enter ‘alpine’ in this field (without the quotes) or whatever you have changed root’s password to, if you have ever changed it.
Once you have entered the information as above, hit ‘Login’ on WinSCP or ‘Connect’ on Cyberduck. It may take up to 30 seconds or so to connect.
You will see a confirmation message asking if you will accept key exchange / connection with the device with the iPhone’s address. You’ll need to say Yes or Allow on these.

Once connected, you are presented with an Explorer-like view of the file system on the iPhone, or of the iPhone and your own computer. Once there, you can copy files and folders back and forth between the computer and iPhone.

I have the same problem and cant get it to work.

Try resetting warnings, and authorize the computer.

Remember, you need AppSync for OS 3.0. This is different than AppSync 3.0/Mobile Installation Patch/miPatch for 3.0 Firmware. If you are not using AppSync for OS 3.0, you will not get it to work at all.
