Chewing sounds get me as well. Whenever Kit Kat commercials come on, I turn the channel. Ditto that Magnum ice cream bar commercial. When the stoned-looking chick takes a huge bite, it sounds like she's eating potato chips.

Also, people who bite their nails

Chewing like others have said. The sound of a drink being poured into a glass. Whistling and humming, not so much for the sound but for the annoyance factor.

Ughh the sounds i find absolutely nerve grating are: the tapping of a pen continuously or crushing and uncrushing a plastic bottle repeatedly or the disgusting coughing sound peple make when they have too much of plegm!!

People scratching themselves and when people pop their p's and burst their b's. Drives me nuts!

Dentist drills are a given. But what I can't stand and causes me to break into goose pumps is the sound of cutting a card board box with a knife. That just sets my hair on it's end.

Doors slightly moving at night becaus of a slight draft, keeping you awake all night.

In one's experience, a Womanly Queef (WQ) is belike to induce one into a State of Mind not dissimilar to Horreur.

I cant stand the sound shopping carts make when a wheel is stiff or stuck. It drives me nuts.

When I'm in another room & the TV in the living room is on! Even when the volume is turned down, I CAN'T STAND noises that I can't control. I'm not a control freak; it really aggravates me & diminishes my ability to focus. It's painful, hard to describe because it's not physical pain.
