Since nobody did make a topic yet about sharing music as discussed in this topic, I thought it would be a neat idea to make one. Just share any music in this thread, please do not create other topics, those will be deleted as we don't want to have loads of request topics.

I think it would be best to give proper info about what it is and which quality it is in, 128, 160, 256, 320, VBR, etc. Both MP3 and Flac should be no problem, crap like WMA should be used as minimal as possible. ;)

Remember, only direct download links from filehosts like RS/MU allowed, no torrents.

Enjoy it and let the music flow :P

Of course, sharing is all about fulfilling request as well, that's why I also added

I believe "a thinking man's hard rock" makes for a good description of the genre of progressive metal, & this album is an excellent example of it. Lately I have been listening to progressive rock internet radio stations like morow.com, and within 30 seconds of hearing track 8, "Spellbound," I knew I had to have this album. It's the CD's lone instrumental, and it's as talented and involving a track as I've heard in while. I've come to enjoy the whole album, but FWIW I think the most accesible track is the last, "Break the Spell." Give it a try, it's the 22mb "sample track" link above.

It's funny, you don't necessarily realize the power of listening to really good music can have, until maybe you've forgotten how good music can be. I'd essentially fallen into a 'classic rock' rut for a long time until recently. Listening to progrock and especially progressive metal has woken up my ears -- they are awake and alive again. I didn't even really realize they had been asleep. But after listening to new music like this, I know now they had been catatonic for years -- listening to the same old things, over and over again, or not even having bothered to listen to very much at all.

So has this album helped "Save My Soul?" Heh, not quite, but in all seriousness, I can't deny in my case it's been a step in that direction. Kind of ironic I think, looking at the album cover art.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think...I will post more albums like this if requested.

Lol elfahd, your topic is a bit different, you did request some tracks for yourself, this just a general one. Your's will be staying but there are no new topics allowed about music sharing/requests to keep things clean. ;)

I know LZF, im jk... My thread has few of the greatest songs. Too bad not many people are participating...

LZF why not reserve a post at the beginning of the thread which includes all the music that has been shared throughout the thread.

1. "Oculus ex Inferni" - 2:34
2. "Set the World on Fire (The Lie of Lies)" - 5:55
3. "Domination" - 6:29
4. "The Serpent's Kiss" - 5:03

Paradise Lost is the seventh studio album by progressive metal band Symphony X. Although it's not a concept album, it deals greatly with John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost. Its release had been delayed numerous times since the announcement on November 16, 2005 that they were going to "start pulling it all together." The album was released on June 26, 2007.

Style:
In a fan club chat on March 18, 2006, Michael Romeo, the lead guitarist and writer, said that the album will be "a bit darker—the direction is still the same—for the most part," and went on to say that "the classical stuff was getting to a point where we need to evolve the music a bit. There is still a lot of classic influence in there—not as obvious as '[Out of the] Ashes', say." He went on to suggest that there may be a song or songs on the album themed around the works of H. P. Lovecraft, and that there would be "A BIG tune on here … Paradise Lost is the theme as of now," lending rumor to the title of the album.
