Not in Front of the Corgis: Secrets of Life Behind the Royal Curtains
Interest in the British royal family is inexhaustible. Just take the amazing clamor over the recent wedding of William and Kate! But who are the Royals, and what do they get up to when we aren't watching them?
In Not in Front of the Corgis, a veteran Royal commentator and author of more than twenty books on the Royals peeks behind the curtains to tell us what they really get up to in their spare time. The book asks questions like what the Queen watches on TV and why she does not have a driving license, and answers thousands of questions about the world's most famous family, including who are the most popular Royals to work for, and who the least? Who is the grandest of the Queen's children and why? Why do Edward and Andrew pay less than Charles' private secretary for the rent of their homes, and what records did the Queen Mother like to dance to?
Not in Front of the Corgis is a unique and fascinating miscellany containing everything you ever wanted to know about the Royal Family, away from the spotlight.

Pets by Royal Appointment: The Royal Family and their Animals
The Royals say they can do without many things, but not their animals. They are suspicious of practically everyone outside their own family, so the only creatures they really trust are not of the human variety. For countless monarchs and their consorts, cats, dogs, horses, even the occasional parrot, have acted as constant, faithful companions, unquestioning allies, and surrogate children for generations. The only time the Queen and Princess Anne have been known to shed tears in public was when one of their favorite horses died. And Her Majesty's corgis, the most disliked creatures at Court, even have their own "royal" cemeteries in all the royal residences and each has its own "mini-palace" immediately outside their mistress's sitting room in Buckingham Palace.

Members of the royal family, from the Queen to her youngest grandchild, are taught to ride almost as soon as they can walk and, even at the age of eighty-six, Her Majesty still rides every weekend at Windsor—and refuses to wear a hard hat. This engrossing book traces the fascination of the royals with their animals—including intimate details of each of the present and early members of the family's favorite pets, with anecdotes relating to each of them and their idiosyncrasies. Pets by Royal Appointment makes essential reading for royal watchers and pet lovers alike.

Her Majesty: 60 Regal Years: Diamond Jubilee Edition
Queen Elizabeth II is the most famous woman in the world - but she is also the most private. Now, to mark her sixtieth year on the throne, royal expert Brian Hoey takes a searching look at Her Majesty's long reign, at her likes and dislikes, her triumphs and disappointments, and at what drives this most extraordinary of individuals. Using unrivalled access to those closest to the royal family, Hoey uncovers the principles and convictions, quirks and foibles that define The Queen and her family. Affectionate anecdote is combined with impartial analysis to provide an enthralling glimpse into the life of a woman who has earned both global respect and the admiration of her subjects. The last ten years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign have been no less eventful than any other decade: two wars, recession and royal marriage have all made their mark as The Queen prepares to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. Yet, as this lively, authoritative and revealing account makes clear, Her Majesty continues to display a resolute determination to steer her country on the right course - to protect her people, the Commonwealth and, perhaps above all, the institution of monarchy.
