Thanks a lot brother maggy87 for coming for help.
I cannot connect to Keyserver. As I told My device cannot connect to static IP, in spite of the fact that I have entered correct figures for static IP. But still my device is showing the actual IP also( Showing both addresses). That's why my device connect to the actual IP.
I think there may be problem in my router which is not assigning static IP???? Actually I used my other Android phone and installed Skyscape resources without any problem.
When I opened my router interface, I found that this static IP was assigned to my other android phone. So I deleted that device from router. BUT now it is not accepting static IP. I don't know whether the problem is in my Device ( SGS2) or in the router.
And yes I installed the same version Of Skyscape reader which I downloaded through Keyserver.
Edited: I can still enter static IP in my other android device (galaxy Y). And that only shows static IP. On the router also it shown Static IP. So it means there is problem in my SGS2.
Well I hope that I will manage to give you a hand even though I am not familiar with your problem. If I understood correctly your current problem is that you are unable to set static IP in your device after this process. I searched the internet if others had the same issue and I would suggest that you see this site (
http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/son ... -save.html) in case that this refers to your issue. In case I misunderstood you, I would suggest that you reset your router (usually there is a small hole that you can press for some seconds for this to happen but you can find out by reading the manual of the router) just in case that something went wrong with the modifications you tried. I would also suggest that you uninstall skyscape again and then try the process from the top to have a "clean" install. Please make sure that you first go to setting -> wifi -> wifi settings and DISCONNECT from any network you are connected to. Make sure you have enabled wifi from the settings. On the screen where you see the list of the available wifi networks please press the "menu" button of your device (usually it is on the lower left corner of the device but there might be slight variations; I am sure though that you are familiar with this since you have done it before). You will see that you get a grey menu on the lower part of the screen. Check Advanced there (or any similar choice you might have). In IP Settings choose Use Static IP.... I assume that you have already done this process with no success but I repeat it just in case... After you set correctly IP Address, Gateway and DNS using the IP address, the default gateway and the DNS 1 that keyserver suggested you should be good to go. Just make sure that you re-connect to your wifi network using the new DNS settings. IF THIS IS NOT WORKING AT FIRST, which might be the issue in your case, try to disconnect and re-connect once more. Maybe this is what you need to connect! In case that you are still unable to use static ip please let me know to see if we will figure it out! Good luck!
Thanks brother maggy87 for your continuous support.
I would like to inform you that ultimately I succeeded to install ultimately the resources. I searched the net and found that there is a program called
WIFI STATIC available on Google Play as free. I installed that application and luckily that application corrected my problem. I was able to assign a static IP BUT again another problem occurred, that Skyscape was not accepting any false e-mail address. Probably they have done something in the program which detects e-mails like
qwerty@gmaiiil.com,
dsa@hotmaiil.com and many other combinations ( what we people are doing). BUT when I inserted an e-mail more like a true e-mail address, it accepted immediately. This I am writing because somebody else may be having the same problem.
Anyway thanks a million for being so much concerned about my problem. Also many thanks to all the forum members who are coming for help. JazakAllah khair.
Thank you so much for coming back to say what made you succeed! This is really important for everyone facing such issues... I wish I could be of more help but I am really glad that you made it yourself! Well..Enjoy your apps then and I hope that no other issues will come up!
