I am writing in order to try to help both aaashu2003 and zamth2001 that seem to have the same issue...Please can you tell me what kind of problem do you face with the installation? Can you please be more specific? This might allow us to see where your issue is an help you fix it. I do not see the reason why this would not work on Galaxy S3, as well. I can only assume that you have a problem with static ip since this is a common problem for these types of mobile phones but your problem might be different! I hope that you managed to solve your problem already..if not...we will try to help!

I try wifi static app(Can't set static IP in the phone wifi setting)
IP in my PC for example
IPv4 Address : 192.168.1.22
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1

I configured wifi static app in my phone(default phone IP: 192.168.1.23)
IP Address : 192.168.1.246 (as suggest in keyserver screen)
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
Netmask : 255.255.255.0
DNS1 :192.168.1.22
DNS2(blank)

and did the steps as mention in former posted

In KeyServer Screen column below show

Server:Windows Firewall disabled,not adding rules
Server:DNS Server started
Server:Some of your selected products have been replaced-details
Sever:Please configure your device network settings-suggest

Nothing happened, I could not download Skyscape app except few free apps.
(I have ever did the same steps in my S1 and S2,It worked)

It's a pleasure to help and I hope that I will manage to! At least I will try! Sorry for the stupid question but I need to know if you have done the other steps correctly and if we are missing something!

1) I mean did you first download all the applications that you want to install? In order to do this you should right click on the app you want an press download.
2) Also please make sure that you have those application marked with a tick on the keyserver!
3) Have you made sure that you have "send reader updates", "force download server to this host", "enable DNS server" enabled to the keyserver screen on your pc?
4) Have you placed your IPv4 (in this case 192.168.1.22) in the section saying "this hosts IP" in the keyserver?
5) Did you have the skyscape app installed previously on the device? Well..even if you didn't, you do have it now for sure! So, please make sure that you uninstall skyscape so that skyscape does not remember your account details... After uninstalling it you can install it again from google play! Just make sure that you do not open it until you are sure that you have modified DNS correctly!
6) In addition to that, I would like you to remember if you have ever installed skyscape using the keyserver before! I ask because if you have changed the host file from the system then you might need to restore it to make this work! There was a member who had this issue! If you have not...forget it!
7) After modifying DNS correctly with the wifi static app you should be good to go! I would suggest that you disconnect from your network first and then change DNS and then re-connect so that the new static ip gets applied!
So, after opening skyscape for the first time, please make sure that you use a fake e-mail i.e mobilism@gmailll.com and leave the password BLANK! This is important! If you can gain access to skyscape with this fake id you have no problem with your connection trust me!

So, please during the last step notice if you get a connection error and pay attention to your pc screen! If you get a message saying client connected then you are good as far as the connection is concerned!

I try to do all the steps as you mentioned , got the problem that I could not use fake E-mail ,got the pop up massage "Your user name(skyscape account e-mail address) or password is not valid please re-enter" so I try my valid account for skyscape. Still can't d/l.
Do I have to connect my phone with PC via datalink cable?

Great! I am glad that at least we got the problem! So, your problem is that you can't connect to the keyserver so you are using the real server of skyscape! In order to bypass this you need to modify DNS settings correctly! Just to make sure that we are on the same page on this issue please read Post: #796 on the page 54 of this thread. I explain all the steps you need to follow in order to make this work. In case that you are still experiencing trouble please let me know where your issue was this time to try to figure this out! Hi Maggy87, Finally I did it successfully. That's because I can't set static IP with Wifi static app. Thank you every much for wasting your time for stupid brain like me . After find the way to set static ip in the phone(S3) which is hardly to find that hidden config. and try to read nearly every comments in this topic esp. on page 54&55 ,it works.....Thank you and Regards.

You really shouldn't worry about this and you shouldn't blame yourself! This is why we are all here! We all made mistakes until we managed to make this work! I hope that it didn't consume much of your time to figure this out and that you will need no further help! Enjoy your apps then!!!

Wow I've seen this app around for so long. Is it really THAT for medical professionals? And is it THAT difficult that all these tricks need to be done to get a working version?

Hi Cares...This is actually a great app mostly for doctors but it also includes some resources for nurses, dentists and paramedics! If you have a good device then you can get a complete encyclopedia to your phone or tablet pc for free! I guess the reason why this stayed for so long as you say is the same reason that it needs to be difficult! Actually it is not as difficult as it seems! The thing is that you need to bypass the server of skyscape so you need to make this virtual server work! If you follow the steps exactly as mentioned then you can make this work! Imagine that this way you get more than 600 apps (I do not remember exactly..I really stopped counting) so it is worth it! Also these apps cost a fortune in skyscape and you need to buy the app again if you want the updated version! Rab did a great job and he also updates the xml file whenever necessary!

Hi there! Sorry but you really SHOULDN'T root your device!!! At least for the shake of skyscape...If you do this for your own reasons that is fine of course! You must refer to the post saying that you need to change the "host" file! You SHOULDN'T change the "host" file! I did it to my device and nothing worked! With no modifications to the file and exactly the steps mentioned at page 54 at the Post: #796! Many others had the same issues with the "host" file and I think the steps I am telling you about are the ONLY steps you need to do! I am telling you to save you time in case you try the previous method! Good luck anyway!

actually i have no problem with the host file changing..
i had my X10i and G note.. both rooted and installed from keyserver fine..
is just tat i wanna try if i don root the phone can i get the same thg done.. and thanx to that method on post 796, everythg working like charm..

Great! It is good to see that it worked for you and also I am glad that the modification of "host" file works for some people! I thought that something had changed since the first directions and this was why I was not capable of doing it this way! Maybe the device has an effect on this...I really can't tell so...good luck to the rest of you then whatever method you choose!

Worked flawless for years with iPhone and firewall ip. Now on iPad 3 with iOS 5.1.1, and firewall Ip is not working correctly(crashes every 3 min). Remember there was a another way to prevent skyscape from connecting to real server, something with modifying hosts etc. anyone has more info step by step?
