Runaway Love by Nicole W. Lee
Requirements: EPUB/MOBI Reader, 453 Kb
Overview: How does a girl tell if a man really loves her for herself, or for her money?
That was the problem facing Genie Hamilton, heiress to a fortune. ‘Outed’ by a scandal rag, as “The Heiress with the Mostess”, courtesy of her father’s runaway wealth, she became an instant celebrity. However, the hounding by paparazzi wasn’t near as bad as all the fortune hunters that came out of the woodwork.
Most of the time, she wasn’t fooled by their devotions of eternal love. None had proved worthy of a second thought – let alone marriage. Except for one. He had been smart. Genie fell – and for a while it was special. Then, in an unguarded moment, he revealed his true side. Her heart in tatters, Genie realized that she may never find a man who loves her only for herself. The problem was, how could she ever know for sure?
So she did what any heiress in her right mind would do - she put a serious pause on men and disappeared off the scene. Her heart had almost mended when, after a few weeks of mooching her way through Europe ‘beneath the radar’ , she ran into a serious problem.
She managed to get herself on the wrong side of an Italian Alpine avalanche – with a man. A reclusive farmer.
A heart-stopping Italian farmer. Heart-stopping or not, farmers were not a part of her social circle back home.
Worse still, this farmer had a dog – a gigantic St Bernard dog.
Genie and dogs of all sizes were not compatible. Her attempts to keep him at bay, did not faze this particular St. Bernard. It appeared that he was on a mission to rescue his master from a life of solitude. He turned out to be the most manipulative matchmaker she’d had the misfortune to experience.
And Genie feared he would win. She was trapped in a nightmare – and this was one she couldn’t run away from.
