Overview: For centuries, five sirens have haunted the sleepy fishing town of Tetro, Italy. Men sporadically vanished at sea without a trace, leaving the townspeople dumbfounded. Throughout the ages, sirens have lured fishermen to dive into the sea with their hypnotic beauty and seductive voices. They derived pleasure from killing and gorging on human flesh.
When their existence were discovered, the men set out to kill them, but the sirens transformed into huge grotesque monsters and a war was waged.
Domenico's father was killed in the battle. He hates sirens more than anything. Now 20 and working as a fisherman with his handicapped uncle, Domenico is heartbroken when his girlfriend Adriana disappears into thin air.
When Adriana suddenly returns one day after the entire town has searched for her for months, Domenico is too overjoyed to notice the holes in her story. Little does he know that the two surviving siren sisters have returned as well
