Overview: Seeking a quiet place to finish his work, amnesiac playwright JAY BICKS decides to stay at an old family vacation property in the mountains near Feral Sods, Colorado in late summer of 2004. Unbeknown to him, the 19th century farmhouse hides a sordid history beneath its floorboards. When the house's mysterious power, the legacy of a cult known as the Amity of the Cardinals, begins to manifest visions of Jay's lost memories, he is forced to own up to his past and face his future by becoming an unwilling ambassador between our world and the world of the grudging dead. The story continues one night in late 2010 in a bar near Exodus, West Virginia. Photographer JACK POLK is enjoying his beer when a stranger joins him at his table. The man, who calls himself Teddy, gains Jack's unexpected trust, but before long he seeks a hefty favor that clouds his motives. Jack is soon left sleepless when his dreams begin hurling him back in time to 2004 into the life of Alex Shelberg, a teenage punk rocker from Feral Sods. The novelty soon fades and the gravity of Jack's visions becomes clear: a serial killer known as the blue man seeks revenge, and Alex's only hope is for Jack to stay one step ahead.
