3. The Weird of the White Wolf: Astride Creation stands the Realm, the last bastion of civilization in a darkening world and a monument to the Sidereals' determination to see that mankind is protected from its many foes. For centuries, the Bronze Faction has maintained a chokehold on history, manipulating the Immaculate Philosophy and the Scarlet Dynasty to strengthen its grasp on the Realm and on human history. Now, the Scarlet Empress has vanished, and the Solar Exalted have returned to Creation after their long exile. The factions teeter on the brink of civil war, new threats emerge with every passing day, and it seems as if Heaven itself will soon fall into turmoil. Though they are few in number and forgotten by history, they are unsurpassed in their wisdom, their foresight and their mastery of supernatural martial arts.

The destroyer of his own cruel and ancient race, as well as its final ruler, Elric is the bearer of a destiny as dark and cursed as the vampiric sword he carries - the sentient black blade known as Stormbringer.

7. Elric At the End of Time: Elric of Melnibone shook a bone-white fist at the greedy, glaring stars - the eyes of all those men whose souls he had stolen to sustain his own enfeebled body. He looked down. Though it seemed he stood on something solid, there was only more blackness falling away below him. It was as if he hung at the centre of the universe. And here, too, were staring points of yellow light. Was he to be judged? His half-sentient runesword, Stormbringer, in its scabbard on his left hip, murmured like a nervous dog.

8. The Fortress of the Pearl: Lord Gho Fhaazi seeks the principal seat on the ruling Council of Seven of the city of Quarzhasaat. He lures Elric into seeking the Pearl at the Heart of the World--the price of admission to the council--by addicting him to a slow-acting poison to which he, the Lord Gho, has the only antidote. Moorcock leads Elric over a course of monstrous and horrifying obstacles, pits him against the Sorcerer Adventurers, servants of Quarzhasatt's jaded rich, and then thrusts him into a dreamworld within the mind of an adoelscent girl.
