I haven't read Jojo Moyes' "Me Before You". However if you read historical romances, Mary Balogh is writing the Survivor Club series, six men and one woman who were injured in the Napoleonic wars.

Tall, Tatted and Tempted by Tammy Falkner both main characters have a disability. It's a great book!
