Hi all

I like the section at the bottom of the pages that allows us VIP's to download from RS. However if you are downloading a lot of files from a release this means scrolling from top to the bottom a few times.

Would it be an idea to have the code for the RS downloads in a floating java script menu like this:

http://www.jtricks.com/javascript/navigation/floating.html

thanks

nino

It looks cool and if it could be implemented without it getting in the way and annoying I am all for it, otherwise I don't mind the position of it right now.

I don't mind the idea. It actually looks cool. But my concern is, is it user friendly for those of us browsing on our PPC? As in will it slow down the loading of PPCWarez on PPC and cause my opera mobile to hang more often  , or will it just not show up in opera mobile.

I also like the idea as we wont have to scroll all the way down all the time :D.

I dont see much of a point in this. Scrolling down to the bottom does not seem like that much work to me and having a java window could be annoying to people (though this can be eliminated by making it optional).

I concur. My concern is javascript always causes problems, and according to the page of the maker, if you have problems with javascript, the box will just float in it's original position, which is top right probably, meaning you may not be able to click logout.

Floating Menu is a big NO NO from me , instead of having it as a floating option i would suggest to edit the theme template to show the RS download box after the 1st post coz the working links are in that post 95% of the time

That's a good idea actually. Poll added for 7 days, after that time I will discuss with the admin team what action should be taken. If you want it moved, please show your support and vote!

I'm in for the idea--even better than the floating box.

Yep, after the first post sounds like a great idea. If you are on PPCGEEKS.com, you see how that would look. As long as it is very simple, and doesn't clutter the page like some of those ads (!), that is a great idea.

Its probably a bit out of place here, but can VIPs use a download manager for RS?

I'm not quite sure; I think you should still be able to, if properly confirgured. It should still pickup the save as dialouge, once you click download. I just don't know how the RS utility for VIP's, work.
