The foreplay...

  • G: Hmm... Partner?
    a: Yes?
    G: are you awake?
    a: I am now, yes
    G: ok
    a: ???
    G: what?
    a: just 'ok'?
    G: Yes, why?
    a: jeee... Guy! *rolling eyes*
    G: what is it?
a: Just 'ok'? Christ! You were away for two days, you wake me up, and all you can say is 'ok'!?
    G: well...
    a: well what?
    G: I'm sorry
    a: lol... he's 'sorry'!
    G: yes, I am, seriously
a: ok, fine, but it would help if you said where you've been
    G: I've been busy
    a: So? That's new...
    G: meaning?
    a: you're always busy, Guy
G: yep, but I've been writing
    a: writing?
    G: yep
    a: wanna talk about it?
G: yes, that bbonzz challenge contest
    a: aha! what about it
    G: it's not yet finished
a: not yet? after two days?
G: well, I didn't write for two days
    a: ...
G: I had also to sleep, to eat
a: of course! and pee, I suppose?
G: heh? ow, that reminds me about something
    a: the 'pee' thing?
    G: no, the writing
    a: so?
    G: there was a writer
    a: a writer?
    G: yes
    a: what about it?
    G: well, he wasn't exactly a writer
    a: he wasn't?
G: nope, just someone who wanted to write what went trough his head
a: that makes him a writer, Guy
G: yeah, sure... you can tell!
a: now, what's that supposed to mean?
G: err... well, writer... books... andree... ebooks...????
a: okok, I got it, go on
G: well, he wrote a manuscript for two days
    a: wow!
    G: and two nights
    a: wow! without sleeping?
    G: yep
    a: without eating?
    G: nearly
a: ok, go on... did he finish it?
    G: nearly, he...
    a: ???
    G: he had a problem
    a: a problem?
    G: yeah
a: out of paper? out of ink?
    G: No no
    a: so?
    G: he got hungry
    a: so what?
G: he got hungry and got himself something to eat
a: I don't see a problem in that... or, he didn't have something to eat?
    G: yes, he had
    a: ....
    G: err...
    a: ...
G: am I boring you, partner?
    a: no no
    G: sure?
    a: sure sure... go on
G: ok, so he went to the kitchen and prepared himself a portion of fried scampi
    a: yummie!
    G: yeah
    a: (I can imagine them)
    G: ...with garlic sauce
    a: (I can smell them)
G: when they were ready, he returned to his desk to eat them
    a: (I can taste them...)
G: but when he took the first one out of his shelf, err... 'shelf'? partner?
    a: 'shell', Guy
G: ok, so when he wanted to peel the first one
    a: *rolling eyes*
G: ... it 'spit' on his glasses
    a: ow?
    G: yeah
    a: he wore glasses?
G: yes, he wasn't that old, but he needed glasses to watch his screen
    a: ok
G: so he took off his glasses,
    a: ...
G: and went on eating his scampi
a: he could still see enough?
G: to peel his scampi, yes
    a: but?
    G: wait
    a: okaaay
G: then suddenly he realized he hadn't saved his writing for two days
    a: ouch? not once?
G: nope, not once since he started his writing
    a: and? he did?
    G: yes
    a: phew!
    G: well...
    a: ...
    G: he wanted to
    a: ...
G: so he pushed the 'save' option in the drop-down menu
    a: good
G: with his fingers full of garlic butter...
    a: eeek
    G: but that wasn't a problem
    a: so?
G: problem was he hadn't his glasses on
    a: ???
G: he took them off after the scampi 'spit' on it, remember
    a: oh God...
    G: yes
    a: you mean...
G: yes, instead of tapping 'save' he tapped 'delete'...
    a: ouch!
    G: yep, 'ouch', everything gone
a: his work from two days?
    G: and two nights...
    a: all gone?
    G: all of it
    a; he recovered it?
    G: impossible
    a: ow ow ow
    G: yeah
    a: ...
    G: ...
    a: ...
    G: anyw...
    a: partner?
    G: yes?
a: why are you telling this?
    G: ...
    a: ...
    G: well,
    a: ...
G: it reminds me of something
    a: yes? *sigh*
    G: I remember one day I wrote a letter
a: why do you always change subj... ow, a letter? you?
    G: yes
a: who did you write it to?
    G: to you
    a: huh?
    G: ...
    a: to me? why?
    G: nothing special
    a: what was it about?
G: just about things that went trough my mind
    a: ow? like what?
G: like what a wonderful partner you are
    a: huh?
G: the best of the nest!
    a: err... I'm not a bird, Sir!
G: maybe, but still, it's great to h...
    a: please don't
    G: oops?
a: you don't have to write it, you can just say it
    G: ok
    a: beside that...
    G: ....
a: I know that already!!! hahaha
G: haha... yes, I suppose so
    a: ok, so?
    G: so what?
a; what happened to the letter?
    G: it's gone
    a: huh? gone?
    G: yeah
    a: but... how?
    G: told you...
    a: ...
G: I erased it by accident while I wanted to save it...
    a: ????
    G; yep
    a: you mean... ouch!
    G: scampi, yes... sorry
    a: weird, Guy!
    G: I know
    a: do you?
G: yeah... and that was also in my letter
    a: the weird thing?
G: yeah, that although I'm such a weird guy, you still want to be my partner
    a: err... stubborn?
    G: I suppose so
    a: ...
    G: :)
    a: hmm...
    G: yes?
a: you're finally going to tell me why you woke me up?
    G: ow, right... bbonzz' challenge
    a: *yawing*
G: ok for you if we talk about that tomorrow?
    a: tomorrow?
    G: yes
a: sure you won't be away another two days?
    G: haha! err... we'll see?
a: damn you, Guy... Don't you dare!
    G: hehe... okok
    a: see you tomorrow then?
    G: okaaay

The Challenge...

  • Sure you know by now the great applications from developer bbonzz for WinMo. You can find an overview here. Largest part of his applications are full featured freeware, and some are only a "light" version, from which you can upgrade to a full (or "pro") version with a small donation.

Today we will give you the opportunity to upgrade to the full working versions of ALL of bbonzz' applications FOR FREE - included the freshly-released PocketCurse and the retail versionof MindRemote - by participating in this little contest we made. It's free, it's easy, it should be fun, and it should also be tempting enough to join as the reward for the winner(s) is worth it.

The How-to (part one)

  • In the next post you will see four pictures - screenshots - from all of bbonzz' applications. The pictures are numbered. Your services team has selected a picture from every application, written down the number, and kept in a safe place. Up to you to guess what pictures we selected.

The How-to (part two)

  • This will work in a 'mastermind' way, meaning we will reveal how many right guesses you made, but won't tell which one was correct.

The How-to (part three)

  • Simply post here the string of numbers from the pictures you think we selected, format: 1 2 3 1 2 3... And we will reply how many pictures you guessed right.

Also, find out what's the number of the pictures we show a part from here, and count those together:

    Image

So, to be valid, your post should look like this one:

    Image

The How-to (party!)

  • There are two winners:

    1. First user who guesses all the right pictures we selected
    2. The user who made most guesses.

Both will receive ALL of bbonzz' full applications for free.

The How-to (after-party)

  • To allow as many users as possible to participate in this challenge, we ask kindly every poster to wait another two posts before posting again. If no replies are posted during two days, a 'wildcard' user may jump in, even if there hasn't been two reply after his last post. For this contest, the wild card goes to... raffle... raffle... Zacharie! (Well, not so 'wild' as we know Zach is always around... ;) )
Once the correct pictures are guessed, we will start a new round of this challenge.

Good luck!

Another two days have gone...

And another two days have gone... Time to use my wild-card. Btw, any idea what you can do in two days? In two days you can Take a detour from LA to tour the Grand Canyon, staying overnight at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Flying between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon - if you choose the right traveling agency (they are not cheap!) - you'll take a West Rim air tour on this ideal overnight trip from Los Angeles. Be sure to take your camera! You can also go for a city-trip to Barcelona. Whether coming to Barcelona for 2 days or 2 weeks, there's always something to see and do that's sure to be entertaining. Be sure to take your Credit Card! In two days you can make a puzzle composed of 800 pieces (I can!). Two days is what I need to clean my house, included cleaning the windows and removing spider-webs from the attic and renewing rat-traps in the basement. Note: do NEVER kill spiders when you see them, because spiders normally hide for humans, so when you see one it's probably a sick spider or a weak kind of spider, and that's exactly those we want to reproduce themselves so one day we can 'smash' them all in a day... or two days, should we need to fit that into this topic. If you omit the '4 Months and 3 Weeks', 2 Days is a 2007 Romanian film written and directed by Cristian Mungiu. It won the Palme d'Or and the FIPRESCI Award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Two days is what it takes to write a letter to my neighbor for asking him to move his ice cream machine to another place in his house because where it is now - against our common wall - it makes so much noise that I can't concentrate on my puzzle. I prefer to write him instead of saying that face to face because every time I pay him a visit he invites me in - he's so kind - and makes me taste his self-made ice cream - that I don't like because he experiments with exotic flavors like Okra and other African stuff (my neighbor is black) things I definitely don't want to made ice cream from - and I can't tell him straight that I don't like it because he has a brother-in-law that has a flower shop and he can get me an 'everlasting' Christmas tree every year for a very cheap price. (It's not really 'everlasting', otherwise why should I need a new one every year? It's just that it doesn't loose its needles before the tenth of January. Meaning I need to have it trashed before that date. I often wondered how the three knows when it's the 10th of January? Growing outside in the wood, they can probably tell with the sun, but... in my living room? I should ask that to my neighbor's brother-in-law, but he's Chinese and I fear he won't get my question right. And if he does, I'm not sure I would understand his answer... So I tell him (my neighbor) I really like his ice cream and I loose all intention to tell him why I actually wanted to talk to him... Then I leave without telling him my complains, but carrying two boxes of ice cream made by my neighbor that he kind-hearty offered me - because I said it tasted so well - and then it takes me hours to throw everything trough the toilet... (Have to melt it somewhat first because the last time I was in a hurry and didn't melt the ice cream so it got stuck in the 'after-toilet' zone and needed a plumber to fix it (what took two days but that's pure coincidence) (I suppose) That's why I prefer to write him and don't mind it takes two days. Two days is also the time it takes for my neighbor from the other side of my house to write me a letter to complain about the noise that makes my toilet for using it for hours... Hmm... It takes two days to get a license for buying a gun legally. For shooting the rats! (What did you think?)

Anyway, /me reads Reeds' comment about my mastermind method, and /me thinks Mr. Reed doesn't realize stubbornness is like a virus spread into my family since decades - it takes more than the usual patience to fight rats, you know! - so here's my next guess:

2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2

If I win, I can use some PocketCurse on my neighbor. The black one, not the other. (Anybody knows if we can choose skin color in the 'PRO' version of PocketCurse?) MY other neighbor is not black, btw. He was there already before I moved into my house, so I guess he grown there. Now he's in hospital because he ate to much ice cream from my ice cream-making other neighbor... He's away since two weeks. Maybe that's why I have so many rats visiting my basements lately. Well, in a way it's better the rats come to my place, who knows what would happen should they invade my other neighbor's place... Knowing he likes to experiment different flavors with his ice cream machine.... Hihi, when is that gun shop open? Then maybe I should have a word with the company that build my house and ask them why they made the walls so thin... Maybe they build it in two days. Haha! ;)

Haha! Hilarious, Zach! Only 2 correct, and... I hope you will never be our neighbor! ;) - G & a

*sigh* You call me dearest, when you're the one who's the dearest of us, dear Zach? :)

BTW I feel much better (at least my high temperature has gone), and ready, able and willing to continue my training... :) /me has returned in his full power! :D

BTW anti-virus softwares are hard, because they usually written by big software companies, who can afford to protect their software very-well... But as soon as I have time, i'll try one ;)

Your story... Was just... perfect, perfect. You should write books with this sense :)

And, I realised your method DO effective... I'm only sure in 6-7 numbers, and this is useful, to determine how many are of the different numbers. Sorry for titulating it not too effective :)
Anyway, these are cool apps indeed...

3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3

is my next guess :)

Have a nice day/night :)

Thank you, Reed. Five correct... We think this should be solvable now ;) - G & a
