Hello, Ah a good news, this version DEBUGS the bug with ALL Previous version when you have into your folder
Content\Maps\Basemap.Fbl in your folder, the starting Igo is very slow (you see GEODB INITDBFILES) for 20 Sec (More and less) with speed of Pna/memory etc.. (Must be 60Sec or 10 Sec)
This Bug is very know!
With this (v8.3.2.79297) version the bug is solved (youpiiee), i check, ouff ! 1/2 sec for see "GEODB INITDBFILES"
From Example, with "iGO 8 TechrificWay - v8.3.2.70321 (Dec 17 2008)" the bug was not again solved

Good news, NGG is always so bad for his protect exe (So good of my English hihi), but it debugs Igo...
Very good, Ngg, continue in this way..

I Not AGAIN FOUND one Bug, TmcPRO Runs, Screen Saver Runs, Last Version Skin Gurgeon Runs...It's strange...

Always not debbugged, the option 'Scrolling Street Name' who generate always the bug 'Out Of Memory', Go NGG go ! (hihi)
Regards jpette, And Many Thank's To SkyRocker (and J.Mouse)

The relevant parts of sys.txt:

enable_roadsign=1
show_signpost=1

[3d_config]
disable_roadsign_navigation_mode=0

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem! only by this i am thinking of swapping back to the 7 jan release.

I noticed one new change in this release (or did I miss it in the previous one). When you approach a "turn", before there is a status bar that shows that you're approaching it. Now, it becomes a color ring surrounding the turn sign.

Try in this way
[interface]
laneinfo_signpost_enabled=1

[debug]
enable_roadsign=1
enable_signpost=1

X51v PPC/PDA:

I just did some testing of the suspend/resume and found that iGO8 March 2, 2009
version still exits and then starts again.

As a work around for this I tried clicking on the menu button to leave the navigation
screen before suspending my PPC and IT WORKS.

I thought that maybe the same fix for the parking-lot crash would also work for the
suspend/resume problem and it does.

Interesting note: this problem DOES NOT occur if iGO8 is started with bluetooth
turned OFF, (no bluetooth GPS receiver connected).

I tried the same method with my Navigon 2200 that runs WinCE... still crashing when returning from suspend. Bummer! :( Thanks for the idea to try it tho.

Twingo:

I just solved this signpost stuff by myself in the meantime. It is a data.zip related problem, so all I did was to replace this version's data.zip with LZF's and JM's data.zip (v9d), removed the unnecessary resolutions from it, and guess what... Signposts are there again. In this way, I didn't have to use so many entries in sys.txt, just used my old one. I hope this helps.

All the best!

Be a little more explicitly, runs on PNA and PDA?
And why doesn`t have the original iGO interface, looks better like before ...

updated all files from previous jan version... all seems great... still not coming out of sleep. When the power is shut off... it counts down the 10s and goes to sleep... it comes back awake just fine, but once it gets a GPS lock, it crashes and needs to be restarted. Any suggestions???... BTW thanks for the update... looks nice...

FYI - Running on a Navigon 2200 in the US

I've experienced the same issue... is there a wakeup fix?

Are you also using a Navigon? If so.. I found this information about autostarting... when I did that.. it also seemed to fix the crash on wake issue as well.
