Kikker Skin v3.2
Requirements: IGO8 v8.3.2
Overview: Replaces default skin




This skin is intended for devices with one of the following resolutions in landscape orientation only:

320x240, 400x240, 480x272, 640x480 (VGA), 800x480 (native high resolution)

HP IPAQ 31x owners can enable the 'Bluetooth for IPAQ 31x' in the menu options. This option will enable bluetooth buttons both in the main Map and Cockpit views. Such new options include buttons for the dialpad, bluetooth manager, and OFF switch. Not only that, and thanks to bitblaster, you can make POI calls to your bluetooth phone directly from IGO. 31x owners must now download the 'normal' skin and enable the advanced bluetooth options in settings - menu. This needs to be enabled only once. You now have an invisible button on the map (lower right corner) which will turn bluetooth ON and show the Bluetooth Manager. In the cockpit view, there is a new button to show the Bluetooth Dial Pad. A big thanks goes to bitblaster for coding the bluetooth applications.

Highlights:

2. HP IPAQ 31x Bluetooth functions - Bluetooth Manager, Dial pad, POI calling directly from within iGO.

4. Transparency settings
5. Each cockpit field has 21 options and configurable in both cruise and nav modes.
6. Circular Compass on map can be turned off.
7. Circular compass moves over to the right when overspeed/speedcam icon appears. Compass can still be turned off however.
8. Cockpit fields can have either a light or dark background. Dark background always shown in night mode.
9. Dark background of Cockpit fields allows for either "VFD Blue", "Orange LED", or "White Glow" colors of the field labels.
10. Overspeed warnings now appear either whenever speeding or whenever available. Select the option in Settings--->Warnings.
11. Current Speed in Red when speeding, provided 'Current Speed' is selected as one of the cockpit fields. Feature can be turned off however.
12. The map scale can now be turned off while the 2D navigation map is visible.

Changes in this release:

1. Fixed Speed Limit "Show When Available" setting.
2. Added "Show Secondary Event" Settings.

As with all skins, you will need at least the following in your sys.txt, which is found in the root of the IGO8 directory, in order to make the resolution on your device work:

I know that youll play around with it & update it but PLEASE PLEASE keep it nice & simple. not everybody needs a skin thats totally top heavy with extra features. There are plenty of excellent skins out there (Dmika/Gurjon) etc that provide just about every feature & setting known to mankind, but some of us just need a great looking skin that still leaves you some space to read the screen. Great work keep it up.

I may be overlooking it, but it seems that the cockpit data fields can only display distance, time, etc. to destination, not to next via point?

Just one little thing is with speedcam warning could be a little clearer.

Thanks, I haven't really changed anything to do with the speedcam warnings. I don't use any speedcam warnings myself, but if you see something that needs to be changed or moved, maybe you could post a screenshot to let me know what you intend?

Any way to remove that little rotating compass needle in the top right corner?
I would prefer to just use the compass dial at the bottom....

Sorry, I probably will stick with landscape for now. I will be releasing an 800x480 native resolution soon and then add additional features with cosmetic improvements, but not too many. I want to keep it as lean and mean as possible.
