If you use a 470T, what Firmware are you running on this device? there's a R23 floating around and i think that is a "must have" to run newer Nav-Software...

So, I managed to fix a mistake I made. I have a 470T and here's what I did:

But for some reason my GPS itself is not updating, any idea why I am not connecting to satellites now? My TMC icon in top right corner shows two arrows spinning in a circle and my GPS symbol has a bigX beside it. I tried moving the original module.xml to the SD card folder 1 but that did nothing.

A person before wrote in english and french to hold flag button and it will load windows. I have been holding it for 10minutes and no windows has loaded for me to install with module.xml

This is my uncles and now it doesnt work, oh no

Like i said, MAYBE it's a firmware-related issue. Could you tell mich which Version you are running on the 470T (had exactly the same device of a friend a few days ago and it works really well on it, but it's running firmware R23 now) ? You can see it for a short moment right after the start.

So my start up is:

MDPMA470T+PVT+R23+0910

Reinstalled everything 4 times. My GPS just isnt working although the program is nice. Wasted 12 hours on this crazy thing hehe

EDIT just donwloaded the R23 off Wiki and still same boot numbers and same problems.

I've searched countless forums and there are some with people opening reg files and changing the baud and stuff but I havent seen anything to change. My Gps is Com2 4800 Baud so...

OK, then it's not FW-Related. My next advice would be to format (i mean REALLY format) the SD-Card. Maybe there's something wrong with it. You can use HP USB-Stick Format Tool or Panasonic SD Card Formatter to Format your Card to FAT32...

Hmm, still no luck. I am tempted to check registry settings but I don't know how to do that from my PC through to the Win CE. I know it is not a hardware as the GoPal3 worked perfect a few days before. On a previous attempt a few hours ago I had my TMC icon go from a 'recycle' symbol to a 'pin head' and a 4th icon ,almost a dollar symbol laying 45° on its side, appear beside the TMC icon.

This is frustrating!

I'm not sure if it is helpful to change things in the registry... But if you really want to do that, i can recommend MobileRegistryEditor. Just connect your device via ActiveSync and start the editor on your PC.

TMCPro (Germany)
CleverRoutes (Germany) Q2/09
all maps Q2/09
TSD-Files Q2/09
speed camera (POIWarner Light) for D, BeNeLux, PL & CZ (extra upload)
GoPal Assistent updated to 4.02.007
future updates are possible 'cause of modified APD-Files (thx MadCat!)

Thx for putting this all into one package. However I cannot POIwarner to work. I do not have ActiveSync (I am on a mac). Is there any way to install POIWarner using just a SD card?

The installation on a 4410 worked without problems, but it does not find the Maps. After startup it says: "Die Speicherkarte mit den Kartendaten wurde entfernt. Es können weiterhin alle Zusatzapplikationen verwendet weden."
I've copied the MapRegions folder onto the Storage Card and never had a problem with GoPal < 5.0.

GoPal was installed by copiing the contents of the installation folder (only needed languages and resolution) and maps onto the SD card.

Do you have any hints for me?
