Thank you very much for this fantastic description, but there are two problems which i have

1.) How can i modificate the menu of the becker traffic assist highspeed 7934. Don't wanna everytime start the explorer and go to the Storage Card to start TomTom Navigator

2.) TomTom Naviagtor will get no gps fix.

2.) Does TT say "No GPS Device" or is it recognizing your internal GPS ?

When i choose the internal GPS in the settings of TomTom the messagge is that there is "No GPS Device". When i use Other NMEA with 4800 Baud he find the GPS but never fix.

Other NMEA is correct; com 2 and baud 4800 should be okay, also.

First FIX can take quite long (depends on sats and device)
Just lay your device in a car or somewhere else outside and wait. the fix should come..

Tried all to make working this navigation system, but for me no chance. Wanna use for this device IGo or TomTom like on a myGuide. When i turn on the pna i wanna see a normal menu where i can choose the navigation solution. Any ideas? Tried also to make working TomTom 7 or iGo 8 , but no fix for gps in TomTom and iGo don't start. Have installed withoutout problems TomTom 7 and iGo 8 on a myGuide, but the Becker don't wanna work.

Hey.
I own Becker 7988 and I believe is very alike yours.
I am running IGO8 successfuly. Just follow all the steps that are written in IGO8 newest release for 320x240 resolution screens. Once you get the software running, go to settings, GPS settings and let the software find the GPS settings automatically. I've done so on IGO8. I've tried it and it works as a charm! :)
I am trying to install and run TomTom, hopefully that'll work as well :)

Hi,
I've just installed igo on my becker 7934.

The easiest way to access explorer for my becker is to go to the system -> navigation -> information and tap three times on the "DIRECTED BY NAVIGON" icon. An explorer will pop right up. (I found this one by mistake). You can then go to the sd card and try igo to see if it works ( which it most certainly does) by running ( double tapping ) the igo exe. I guarantee that this is the easieast way to run igo on becker :P. You won't find any other way to start igo. Well except maybe from copying igo (meaning just copy everything from the igo folder directly on the sd card) directly on the sd card and renaming the igo exe to "Autorun.exe" and reseting the device. (Autorun.exe is used to update the device from sd card by becker patches).

Anyway, if you want the becker (or any other pna for that matter) to start and give you the option to start igo even if you reset the device you need the ultimate unlock from here :
http://www.freewebs.com/xtyler91/

direct link to what you need for becker 7934 (or any other becker with 320x240) :
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RU8SSM1B

Or if you don't want the interface, you just want to run igo directly, you can do that by just using one .exe and .scp to call igo from sd card when you turn on the device.

This will allow you to do pretty much everything you want with your becker or pna (by using MortScript).

Many thx to xtyler91 for that one, great job!!!

All you have to do is copy that to "My Flash Disk" directory on the becker and rename the "rename.exe" and "rename.scp" to "Shell.exe" and you're good to go.

You might also have to look at the MortScript documentation from here:
http://www.sto-helit.de/downloads/mortscript/MortScript-Manual.pdf

I have a problem though related to igo on becker. If i turn off ( not reset, just turn off the screen) while running igo, when i turn on the screen the becker freezes ( the side lights turn on, but the screen remains black) and i need to reset the device to get it working again.

Anybody have a fix for that?
