What department is this code? What is the department's largest French? the least populated? What looks like a shield? Who is the president of the council? So many questions this application will respond.
Sort by code, by region or by indicator (population, area and density) will quickly find the essential information on all departments of metropolitan France and overseas territories: code, region, geographic location, prefecture, sub-prefectures, communes, president of general council, the council logo, seal of the department. At the end of each card, click on "Wikipedia article" to learn more about the department (history, politics, geography, culture ...).
Soon, an update will offer a quiz to test your knowledge of French departments.
