Does anyone know how to get planet ephemeris data into this program to go beyond 2010?

yes, hope this helps:

go to developers page, download the files you need, and follow the instructions. Very easy to do, just follow it step by step.
Note: the files you need can be very large so make sure you have the storage space.

Here is the info you need:
http://www.nomadelectronics.com/PocketPC/PocketStars/PSEphemeris.aspx

And here is an extra set of instructions:

To install Ephemeris and the Messier&Caldwell object files:

Exit Pocket Stars if it is currently running. (Menu.About.Exit).

Manually copy files to your Pocket PC, replacing the existing files of the same name.

The default installation directory for Pocket Stars PDA
"\Program Files\Pocket Stars\".

To copy the files, use "ActiveSync.Explore".

Restart Pocket Stars.

enjoy

Notes

You can verify the ephemeris date range currently installed by clicking in the lower left hand corner of the Menu.About page. This also displays diagnostic information which can be hidden by clicking the same spot again.

The same ephemeris files are used on both the PC and PDA versions of Pocket Stars.

Thanks for the quick response! Doesn't sound too difficult to update.

I've also recently tried "TheSky" program, and so far feel like Pocket Stars is the winner for my purposes (I use field binoc's). I guess the other program is more useful if you need something to drive a powered telescope. I feel like Pocket Stars is the more user friendly of the two.

You are welcomed.
I agree, I like pocket stars the best; I have it installed on my devices (along with others). I use this one the most because its so easy to use and it is very feature rich.

Using .NET 2 for an RPN key generator is as using a nuke to crack a nut!
I was not going to install .NET 2 just for that, so I decompiled the keygen and recoded it natively in Delphi. Here is the result for whoever interested.

Of course I guarantee nothing but that the generated key worked for my PDA.

great work dilbert. I am sure many people will find your efforts useful. :)
However, .net is necessary for many appz/games. It would not be a bad idea to have it installed
If you have a storage card that is. If not, then I understnad your concerns.

I'm not criticising .NET, it is a nice BIG thing for BIG/COMPLEX applications. But for a small (some tens LOC) KG is really an overkill, expecially .NET 2 (not yet so ubiquitous as 1.1).
