I've used Swype, SlideIT, Shapewriter, Tikinotes and many other. I personally like Swype the best, it has an amazing UI, good functionality, but it lacks MUI. Shapewriter was probably the worst one, becuase of the UI, and the functionality wasn't any good. SlideIT lacks the UI quality of Swype, but has all the functions of Swype, and has MUI.

Tikinotes actually won over Swype, so i guess Tikinotes is best, if you've mastered it. I tried it but it took forever.

1. Swype, SlideIT
2. Tikinotes
3. Shapewriter

I could live with that. Better than no German at all when some of my emails will be ;-) Where did you get the cab from and is it one that is compatible with the HD2?

Would you mind sharing that version? None of the others seem to work on the HD2 AND have German.
