Device: HTC Touch Diamond P3700 with Shaks.P v3.10 ROM
OS: WM6.1
TCPMP 0.72RC1 with SRT subtitles plug-in
Requirements: Pocket PC 2003, WM5 and WM6
Overview: The purpose of this post is that I've tried many versions and settings in order to get SRT subtitles on my Diamond, and then I packed it all up in one single cab that truly installs to Internal Storage\SD card. I've also packed a working WM2003 version! No need to install because they are portable, just drop the folder and run the executable file.

Could you tell me exactly what file make displaying srt subtitles possible, so I could copy it to my already configured TCPMP folder?

Sorry, I don't know. But definitly works on 6.1 and TCPMP 072 R3.
You can use regular srt and sub subtitles. You can also enlarge or reduce size of letters. Or you can change postion of subtitles.
This is great plugin.

Here is copy/paste from readme file:

TCPMP SUBS SUBTITLE PLUGIN
Version 0.6

I. What this plugin can be used with.

1. This plugin supports the following subtitle formats:
- SAMI (*.smi)
- ASS/SSA (*.ass,*.ssa)
- SubRip (*.srt)
- MicroDVD Subtitle (*.sub)

Note: not all *.sub files are in MicroDVD format.

2. The following video drivers can be used:
- GAPI
- GDI (recommended)
- Intel 2700
- ATI 3200

3. The following video drivers are not supported:
- Raw Frame Buffer
- Direct Draw
- Intel XScale

What is the difference between Coreplayer and TCPMP. I thought that TCPMP is a limited free version of Coreplayer. If this is true, why can't Coreplayer play subtitles as well?

TCPMP is open source media player project and it is discontinued. CorePlayer is commercial.

they're both made by the same guys, at a certain time they stopped developing the free tcpmp 0.72 and started selling coreplayer.

coreplayer can display subtitles, but only in .smi. it's easier than converting your entire subtitles collection
