Please note:

1) While you can use your existing Smule account with Magic Piano on Android, the content of the apps differ substantially, and consequently songs and Smoola are not shared between iOS and Android. Thank you for your understanding.

2) For some devices where we know there are issues, we have restricted installs for now. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S II has audio bugs in the phone itself that make the Magic Piano experience... well, not so magical. However, Android hardware and software are constantly improving so if we are able to support some of these devices in the future we absolutely will!

Since I have received so many good things from this website, I figured I should give back....

FIRST: Sign in / create account for Magic Piano, then kill any running instance of Magic Piano (smule apps like to run in the background)
Download Magic.txt file [updated 6/14/2012] http://www.MegaShare.com/4325735 [No PASS at this time]
RENAME the "magic.txt" to magic.db...Then boot up your root explorer and throw this new .DB file in data/data/.com.smule.magicpiano/databases

[possibly not needed, but do it to be safe]
Download the "song" files - http://www.MegaShare.com/4325736 [No PASS at this time]
overwrite and extract the "file" folder to /data/data/.com.smule.magicpiano in case Smule decides to have a "failed download" for you later on.

If you're paranoid: use DroidWall, but you won't be able to see the new weekly songs.

This is the initial release of Magic Piano on android, and doesn't fully feature Magic Piano WORLD, so updates will arrive. Songs also arrive weekly as well. This method might not work in the future, and your songs might be erased if future updates are done. EDIT: THERE IS AN UPDATE 1.0.1 (and Doesn't mention what's new) BUT DIDN'T REMOVE MY SONGS ONCE I UPDATED. Be Careful...

All DB files have been removed from mediafire unfortunately.

nope. it's still live. just tested the link, did you input the password correctly?

only one website has shamefully copied my links but it still mentions that it's a MOBILISM exclusive

I want to protect my findings so other websites can't steal it, but when I password protect a file on megashare, it does the t-10 countdown...but then a white space shows up, no number capita box or anything.

why is root required? i dont have root but realy want all the songs.

to get access to /data/data/.com.smule.magicpiano folder to put the .DB file in there...you need root access..otherwise..without root, you only have SDcard access...which isn't going to help you.

I've been the first person to crack it and release it....was thinking about waiting for someone else to release their findings..but this website has given me a lot...so might as well give some back right?...glad you're enjoying it.

The .db is easily editable to add new songs... just play the game, copy the .db on your computer and use SQLite Manager... you'll find out it's very easy
I added yesterday's songs and they work ^_^

agreed...but why release the keys so openly so that they lockmaker can change the lock so the key won't fit next time?..1.0.1 already makes any SQLITE editing null and void....you have to do your editing on 1.0..then upgrade to 1.0.1..if you wish.

Post edited. I looked at the sticky post and took it into consideration. Changed the DLC instructions to the bottom (after download instructions) and removed mediafire links for mobilism premium downloader-friendly ones (rapidgator, megashare etc)
