When I hit update it takes me to market and the app is same as I already have. Annoying!

Newest smartphone app. I didn't mess with the blackout restrictions, but I could remove them if need be(I didn't b/c it threw an error when I tried it). Last night I was able to get into the live streams and all(my video on my phone doesn't work so I am unsure if it would actually stream).

Please test that and report bugs or findings. Thanks!

just tested it now. Loaded up the Toronto Boston game. It played for 3 minutes, then exited, taking me to the screen to sign in, so it seems to have only allowed the normal video preview, not unlocking the game. I am rerunning the same game now, to see if it cuts out again, will report back

edit: 15 minutes or so later, its still playing. Good job. Now if you can only remove the blackouts you got a winner!!!!! Thanks man

you could always use location spoofer to fake your location, i put it to somewhere in europe and i never have blackout problems
