Ah, thanks that makes sense. I'm rooted and have Hosts Editor but wasn't clear on what the address reference related to.
Can you recommend which IPs you've used, I haven't managed to find one that works yet.
Try to look at http://spys.ru/free-proxy-list/US/
Filter by ANM proxy and Port 80 (you didn't need to put the port 80 in the proxy address)
I think is better you know where to look because in some days the proxy can go down and you need anothers.
