Device: HTC Hero S
OS: Android
Kaspersky Mobile Security v9.0.0.48
Requirements: WM5/6/6.1/6.5
Overview: Secure your Device with the worlds most trusted Security Software, Kaspersky.

Image

Features:
Anti-Theft Protection
[*] SMS Find (NEW!) - Locate your lost or stolen phone by sending an SMS message to the lost device. You will receive a link to Google Maps with the exact coordinates of your phone, helping you to recover it quickly.
[*] SMS Block - In the event of loss, you can send a "hidden SMS message" to block access to your device until a pre-set password is entered.
[*] SMS Clean - Similar to SMS Block, this will completely clean out your devices' memory and memory cards.
[*] SIM Watch - If your phone is stolen, the "new owner" will most likely replace the original SIM card. The SIM Watch will prevent the thief from accessing your data without the original SIM card in the device. If the original SIM card is replaced with the new one, SIM Watch automatically sends to you the new telephone number of the device without the thief's knowledge.

Anti-Malware Protection
[*] SMS Spam Messages - Intrusive SMS messages containing adware can be nuisance. Kaspersky Mobile Security can block SMS messages sent from unwanted or incorrect addresses as well as SMS messages with inappropriate content. Add phone numbers of known spam sources, incorrect numbers or unwanted test to a blacklist for blocking. Add your contact list to a safe white list.
[*] Malicious Phone Attacks - Mobile device malware can delete or steal confidential information, send mass SMS and MMS messages from infected phones, dial premium rate numbers without your knowledge, and transfer malicious code to a PC once a connection is established. Kaspersky Mobile Security provides real-time anti-malware scanning of all incoming files and connections to keep you free of malicious programs. You can pre-set the best time for scanning to be performed automatically. If an infected object is detected, it is stored in the quarantine folder or deleted.

Data Protection
[*] Data Encryption - A new feature for sensitive and confidential information on your device. Kaspersky Mobile Security provides a "safe folder" where contents are permanently encrypted and only accessed with a password.

Device: Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox 560N - 32 GB SDHC Class 10 WM6.1, Samsung Omnia II 16+32 GB WM6.1 + WM6.5.3
OS: WM6.5
Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0.0.75 - not worth the efforts. Why?

1. Best firewall is Airscanner Mobile Firewall 3.52, next best is ProtectStar Mobile Firewall 1.0

2. Cumbersome with updates and license validation. Why bother when you can use: Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition Corporate 6.0.0.191, which hasn't any hassles with license keys. Similar functionality when it comes to Anti-virus, Anti-theft, etc.

However there are dedicated anti-theft apps, far better.
As well as with anti-virus.

Thank you for the recommendations. Some people, however, maybe looking for the newest version of Kaspersky Mobile Security, so I thought I'd share.

I'll personally take a look into using your recommendations. :)

Lolz, I have had the legit version for about 6 months. This is truly the best Pocket PC security suit. Infact its so good that I would almost advise ya go buy it... almost. Kaspersky is an exelent company. My only gripe with this program is the firewall which actualy stops internet communication. Firewalls are mostly useless anyway. They realy only block bad programs on your device from accessing the internet anyway.

Yeah, I have the "Minimum Protection" Enabled which allows me to Blacklist or Whitelist incoming SMS, MMS, Email, Calls, and Connections. If I were to increase the Firewall Connection, I'd pretty much have a shiny brick at my side. :P

That's not possible. The keys are trials, they don't necessarily have a set expiration date... they expire 30 days from the day you installed.

Try using the RESET Method I have provided in the first post. It may fix your problem.

RESET Method not working here, and the expiration date for the trial key says 11/7/09??

What to do about this?? Running a Sprint Mogul PPC-6800 with Ryan Mogul's WM 6.5 Lite...

I'd recommend using either SKTools or PocketMechanic to clean up your registry, as well as your temp files, then do a soft reset. ... Retry to Activate after it boots back up.

If it doesn't work, it may be a WM 6.5 bug. I'll look into the issue for you.

Have you used Kaspersky on your device prior to trying mine?

If so, try these steps:

1.) Uninstall Kaspersky Mobile Security
2.) Run SKTools, run a Cleanup
3.) Run Pocket Mechanic, clean your registry
4.) Manually delete the "Kaspersky" folder in your Devices "Program Files" folder, if it's still there
5.) Soft-Reset your Device
6.) Re-Install & try the keys again.

NOTE:

Be sure to follow the directions I have provided in the first post STEP-by-STEP. The method has worked for me for a long couple years, as well as others I have shared with prior to PPCWarez.
