I love mobile shell.... 10000x better than Sense 2.1 or 2.5

people who use sense just dont know what they are missing.... an interface that works, is stable, fast, and doesnt kill battery life

 

yay!!. ive been on 3.5.3 and had no clue there was a update lol.. im curious i have mobile sense them and if i upgrade by just installing 3.5.5 will it just upgrade and not effect my theme etc..??

It should keep your existing theme/settings, it did for me anyway

kool thx.. i was curious does any of you know a way to active sync your contacts without switching to the old sense and doing it there? i sync with nuevasync and its annoying that i have to switch to the htc sense just to do it, as well as when im done i have to make sure to uncheck the sense in the today screen or else at next boot both sense and spb shell will boot =(

I'd suggest using spb backup or rescoe backup to make backup files you can do a LOT more with them...

SPB Shell is really good but for those people who are looking for something else you could also try co0kies home tab which is a mod of the SenseUI and is a 100000% improvement over standard Sense, and its what HTC should have done in first place, just common "sense" really

having problem in installing it...plz. give instructions on how to install it properly on WM 6.5

If you have the CAB file on your phone or on your SD Card, just tap it to open and install. Once it opens, it asks if you want on Device or SD card. Then select which one, tap Install and it should install. Just like any other CAB file. I use SPB MS and really like it. Hope this helps you, if not ask for more info. I will try to help you.

Does this version have proper fullscreen modes?

It's always bugged me to have this beautiful UI, then have that hideous Windows Mobile bar at the top (or have to deal with ToggleStart.exe which doesn't like rotating phones).

If you mean do you see a full screen on Home, plus others, yes. Why not just try it and see for yourself. I personally like it very much and much more options than Sense. JMHO.

i have a problem with it...
cant sync it to facebook contacts pics...
when it goes to the facebook connection screen it always says: faid to connect

i tried to overcome this by tryin a link from other place in the software and got to the EMAIL & Password page of facebook in order to connect...
but check this out: i dont have any keyboard deployed infront of me at this page so i cant type...i tried to copy past but no go when u need to enter the password..

any ideas?

I'm still using SPB MS 3.0.1 on my Samsung Omnia i900 and I'm very happy with it.
Should I upgrade to 3.5.5??
What important extra features would I get?


Should I remove the old installation first or just start the new cab?
Will my main settings be preserved?
Should I install it in the main memory or would it work also if installed in My storage?
