I have it working perfectly and awesomely on my i8000, although the 3d features are kinda sloppy. 3d wont work on i900 because it has no 3d accelerating hardware (I think) - it won't be sloppy tho (tested)
problematica, an hard reset will probably, uh, uninstall it (as "hard reset", per definition, reverts to factory definitions...)
Just have a video call bug but not sure if it is related to spb shell, S2U2 or disabling the samsung dialer and reverting to windows default dialer...

You must have an older device OR in the settings -> SPB mobile shell -> system -> use 3D accelerator option has been set to "off".

I found the fix.. you MUST have opera installed in order for the widgets to work.

I have had Opera installed since I downloaded MS3. Still having the same problem. Any other solution?

i have the same problem, no one have fix???

I have i900 Omnia and i don't have that 3D accelerator option in my SPB system settings at all :/
Found that suggestion on many forums but simply, in my system settings i only have:
-Override Start
-Language
-Force Feedback
-Tap and hold support

..nothing about 3D accelerator.

I'm not really familiar with Omnias, but I recommend to download a D3D driver to your device (if not installed). From here maybe: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416474 . No guarantee!
If you have this option, you'll have the reflection and 3D behavior, otherwise it works only in 2D. No need to dig in registry, it won't help. (I guess your your device shows 3D in messaging in 2D. This option works, but not exactly as if you have D3D driver. I have the same problem on my Trinity. But on my Diamond which has D3D driver and accelerator, it works really in 3D (messaging and carousel))

mines is asking for a serial, it's been 30 days i guess. sure i dll the 'no serial needed' cab too.
prob is that my original menus was still accessible even though i'm using spb,
gets a bit tiring after a while, good prog though, be great if it cld just be the default shell!

Installed that .cab and still not working, i guess i'll just have to live with the fact that i900 does not support shell 3D option,
cuz on my Omnia that 2nd option in the System tab does not exist at all.
And yep, you were right, messaging appears in 2D indeed i was wrong.. motion effect played with my eyes :?

I use SPB MS 3.5.3 with mod (Mtstmp - Keithdupont MS Espresso -> best mod I use) and when I have X2 ROM for my Xperia there was an option "Use 3D accelerator" in SPB Settings and SPB Carousel was working very smooth but when I've switched to another ROM (Xperia UnOff) "Use 3D accelerator" dissapear from settings. May somebody know what is wrong? Drivers, some change in registry?

those who use HTC P3400 and other 200Mhz PDAs and have SPB 3.5.3 running:

don't you struggle with slow-as-snail touch reactions?
my HTC P3300 (also 200MHz) sometimes reacts after 6-8 seconds, it's a pain to use.

is there any way to speed it up a bit? (i mean to switch off unuseful stuff, 3d things etc...)

I am on WM5
The 3.1 version take more battery live
But with the older 3.5.build.9593 version, its more save battery live..
Hope this update will still take less battery live..

Have a question, How do u override the start button to SPB Mobile Shell style ?
Mine still WM5 standart layout..

Thanks

Hmm... I have an older phone (AT&T Tilt), but should I try uninstalling and re-installing SPB Mobile Shell to get extra 3D benefits now that I have D3D/HTC-CA drivers and gfxboost installed?
