Note for devices with screens less than VGA (QVGA, WQVGA, Etc.):
Download Nyidot Virtual Display (in the download section).
Install it.
Open Settings > System > Virtual Display.
Change Width to 480, Height to 640.
Change Orientation to one of the landscape modes.
Soft Reset and continue with the instructions below.

Hi. Can anyone kindly point me to where i can download this 'Nydiot'? Cant find it anywhere and would love to run Win95 on my phone.. (Samsung i780 with Square 320x320)

Thanks so much! :)

Here is a link to the display needed to change your resolution since no one is finding it by using the search function i have provided you a direct link now to avoid further issues on finding it.

Yes. It works perfectly on TOSHIBA TG01. By the way, not this version, but this QEMU one:
Code: Select allhttp://narod.ru/disk/18717400000/qemu-win95.zip.html
or
http://rapidshare.com/files/362805728/qemu-win95.zip

By the way - the path needs to be edited in CMDLINE.TXT file. I installed it on the Storage Card (SD flash)

It boots quite quick and works fine in VGA expet one big/HUGE drawback - the mouse.
Actually we have the mouse moving in relative way from the last tapped position. But when we tap the mouse clicks, so the Win95 reacts to that tap. It is very tricky to get used to use it. You need to tap somewhere where the Win95 will not react to that click.

It will be perfect if we can install some type of TABLET driver with absolute positioning.

Another problem is the file/data exchange: the win95 works itself in an IMG drive (image file), so I can't find a way to see the files inside. This is quite a big problem if you need to exchange files with win95. If there is an easy way to share a folder on my PPC with the emulator - it will be of great use.

Again: the TG01 is extremely fast, I can compare it to a native Pentium 100MHz! At least the feeling is the same as I am trying to remember the old times.
Do we need to rename the folder of qemu too to QEMU95? Or leave it as it's named qemu-win95 or...

I changed the cmd line to QEMU95 and nothing, with the folder being named QEMU or QEMU95 and yes it's on the root of my card.
