The newer Mio's that run the Spirit software use TMC devices that use some other protocol than Igo or Primo can use. I spent the better part of a day trying to get my Mio S501 to use the TMC kit in Igo with no luck. The Spirit software finds the device just fine. I have the n177t TMC kit. I dismantled it try to determine what protocol it was using but didn't have any success in identifying the on board chips.
