I'm not sure, but try this one:

in sys.txt

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
shutdown_time=0
resolution_dir="480_800"

[rawdisplay]
driver=gdi
screen_x=480
screen_y=800

[project]
name="igo8_easy"

and with this data.gro:
http://addat.hu/11d557a4/480800data.gro.html
rename it to data.zip

OR make a zip from your gro and in the project_config folder there is an .ini file.
Copy the name of the .ini file (for exapmle: igo8_generic) into the sys.txt
[project]
name="THE NAME OF THE INI FILE"

Hi!

Try to change the path in the sys.txt like this:

[folders]
app="SDMMC/iIGO"

not "\" but "/" and without the exe, only the folder path.

This is my sys.txt

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[rawdisplay]
screen_x=480
screen_y=272

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
skin="ui_igo8"
3d_max_tiltlevel=9000

[gps]
port="2"
baud="4800"

[map]
3d_max_tiltlevel=9000
3dcarsizemin=100
3dcarsizemax=150
3dcarsizemul=1500

[sound]
queue_length=200

[sound.announcer]
recalulate=0
ask_recalulate=0
offroute=0
traffic_jam=0
overspeed=0
gps_disconnected=0
gps_signal_lost=0

[msnd]
enabled=0

[debug]
skip_eula=1

Do I change that iGO to say AMIGO??

[folders]
app=

You have to write here the path of the folder where amigo is.
Use the accurate name of the SD card and the folder in your device.
Use "/" signs.

In my device it looks like:
[folders]
app="Storage Card/iGO8Amigo"

I use iGO8Amigo folder for Amigo., and it's on my SD card called Storage Card by the device.

So do those % signs have to come out?? I have changed everything, but still the program database problem.

I think you have a working iGO8.
copy that to the device, delete the files and folders from the igo8 folder except the content folder and the sys.txt.
Copy the content of the amigo folder into the igo8 folder. Rename amigo.exe to igo8.exe and start.

I have copied amigo.exe and the branding and data zips over replacing the originals I had plus the amigo license folder and still get the program database error.

BUGGER! Ah well, the latest iGO8 works, I'll probably just put that back on. Thanks for the help guys.

:D

Oops. edit: I did rename the amigo.exe file too.

data.zip and branding.zip not works with amigo.
Use data.gro and branding.gro!

Use this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/231122746/MultiNewV5.1.rar

This is a multiresolution data.gro for amigo.

Apart from all that have been said, this is a sys.txt igo8 file. You have to delete at least this parameter:

skin="ui_igo8"

and fix this one as said or delete it if the data .gro supports your resolution:

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

Fix your needed ports too;

[gps]
port="2"
baud="4800"

Try using Navteq Q3 (or Q4 if your country allows) maps. At least for me, Teleatlas maps don´t work on well on my Igo amigo any of them.

Good Luck.......................
