At this point, it's not fitting the screen because of the aspect ratio. If I have a little more info, I might be able to make a skin just for your screen size.

there is an option with Asus transformer (red circle on pic), i can "Stretch to fill screen" or "Zoom to fill screen"
but the Galaxy tab 10" can't do it.

Would you consider going back to the old functionality for the Current Address on the navigation screen. It felt more useful to cycle through the different styles of current address. Now it is a little hard to use because if you press the current address by accident it goes away, then you need to exit navigation and come back for the address to show up again. If it was some sort of toggle mechanism to display/not display, then it might feel more natural, but even then IMO the old functionality of cycling through the types of address was more useful.

You don't need to exit for it to back. It's on a timer of 5-10 seconds. If you want to cycle through them, I made long-click do that. This allows you to clear the screen if you need to see something that is blocked. Also, the long-click prevents you from accidentally changing the address mode you want. I know you are having long click issues. Is the address bar taking more than 5-10 secs to reappear?

If you really wanted to, you could switch it back very easily. Edit the file navigatemap_android.ui. Search for "spt_isfeet" and "spt_isfeet2". Swap "onlongclick" and and "onrelease" for those two buttons. That's it.

LOL need to be more patient apparently :) One of these days will revert to froyo and see if that fixes the long-press issues. logcat had too much output and I didn't have time to start filtering yet. Will try to narrow that down when I have more time. Thanks for the pointer.

Have you tried using one of the higher resolution skins with your device and stretching those to fit the screen?

All you need to do is add one of these lines to your sys.txt :

;For 960x540 add:
screen_xy="1024_600:960x499/540x888"

;For 854x480 add:
screen_xy="1024_600:854x442/480x816"

;For 800x480 add:
screen_xy="1024_600:800x442/480x762"

Do you have a setting in your sys.txt or system.ini that is:
highres=1
double_screen=1

?

That will cause igo to also double the screen size. That might be why it turned out that way.

Or android is blindly doing the same amount of stretching to the screen as it does with the 480x320 skin. This is all new to me. I'll keep looking into it. Thanks for the replies and the pictures.

tried 960x540 and 800x480
If i put...
highres=1
double_screen=1
keeping error.."User interface resolution [960x499] is not supported or compatible skin can not b found.
Exiting application.

if i put...
highres=0
double_screen=1
still over display, nothing changed

I installed this skin, but I have one question - the map is somehow display in different way. It works, but is not so nice. I suppose that this has something to do with different sys.txt as I used before (another IGO 8.3.4 APK without skin).

I tried to change "highres" in sys.txt, but IGO doesn't start "user interface resolution xxxxx is not supported ....".
Any other idea?

The highres mode was something I was suggesting as not to use. Which device are you using and what resolution? Can you explain in more detail what is not nice so about it? I can fix most problems, but right now the 1024x600 screens are going to look weird and stretched until I figure something out.

I figured out the problem with the sound, and it'll be fixed in the next release.
