The 7.4.x does use more memory resource. I had to edit the CacheConfig.xml and ApplicationSettings.xml to reduce the cache sizes by ~1/3 to get it to run smoothly. This applies to 7.4.0, 7.4.2, 7.4.3.793 (2310), and 7.4.3.201 (8310).

i believe i have done some tuning for the cache but its still not as smooth as 7.3. what settings did you apply to get your's running well?

Mine is a 480x272 device with 64MB. I am using 7500 and 3500 in the Core and MapDraw Cache respectively in ApplicationSettings. In CacheConfig.xml, I reduce the cache size to 1572864. I guess the 7.4.x may not be able to run as smooth as the 7.3 due to the multiple route calculation. Anyway, it works acceptable for me even for a 600 miles route (actual driving last week with 7.4.0).

Hello, the program works on MEDION GOPAL 470;
But no vocal command (Text-to-Speech) and not of tmc.
Is it possible to configure usersetting to put on the tmc and the vocal command (text to speech)?

( Excuse my translation, my English is tres bad, thank you)

Just download the TTS for 7.3 and put it in this version.

You need to find files with .sar extention (example: ger-DEU_Sabine_def_tts.sar) and put them in sound folder.

This version works fine on my Chinese GPS. The only problem (so far) is that I can't exit the program. It either goes to sleep mode or does nothing. I most reboot to exit.

Anyone has a solution for this?

Thanks

Modify your ApplicationSettings.xml file:

Code: Select all
  <ExitBehaviour>4</ExitBehaviour>
  <USBModeExitBehaviour>6</USBModeExitBehaviour>
  <SDCardInsertBehaviour>5</SDCardInsertBehaviour>
  <SDCardRemovedExitBehaviour>0</SDCardRemovedExitBehaviour>
  <DisclaimerExitBehaviour>5</DisclaimerExitBehaviour>
  <NoGPSExitBehaviour>5</NoGPSExitBehaviour>
  <MAPSelectionCancelBehaviour>1</MAPSelectionCancelBehaviour>

Has anyone been able to get Landmarks to work on this version with Q3 2009 north america maps?

If my memory serves, the NA landmark has not been working since 7.4.0. There is even no path to the landmark folder in the xml. Adding back the path did not help. The 3D landmark of US on Navigon is very limited anyway. It is not as informative as in iGo8.

Thank you. I now can exit the program without having to reset the GPS.

Is there also a 320x240 PNA version for this 7.42 build 802?
