For EU there ARE no Q1 2011 maps...

The Q1 2011 maps you can download from here (Or navigon) are in reality Q3 2011 maps.

Just try to open up one of the smaller maps in wordpad. Scroll down a few pages and you will see "Q310" and a compile date of 01-07-2011.

This means that the fresh'est maps you will be able to get for navigon for android are maps which in 3 weeks time will be 1 full year old..

Honestly i dont think that navigon is taking the android app very seriously...

If only garmin made an android app. (They make an android phone but no app to buy)...

what is the difference between the version Mobile navigator 3.60 and Navigon select version?

When I try to download the map I need from fresh I see just one map to download.. that's strange

I can confirm that after upgrading my firmware to 2.3.4 on my SGS, I just went to Market and installed Navigon Select and it installed and worked fine. Loaded maps with Navigon Fresh - job done!

I don't understand. Topic says 3.6.0 when downloading from the first post I get 3.5.0. So which is it?

No matter how you call them... the Q2 2011 maps available here in the forum are newer than the Q1 2011 also available here and those are newer than the Q3 2010 navigon fresh wants to download (which is the problem exposed by the other member). An hexedit of both versions show several months difference in compilation times.

Anyway, I removed the Q3 2010 maps downloaded by Navigon Fresh and installed the Q2 2011 pack downloaded from here and it works ok. Well, at least not worse than Q3 2010 (I get MANY FCs with both, I had to install Sygic Aura =/).

If you have samsung galaxy s don't waste your time..
I've tried most of the tricks around here and nothing works
After installing/removing several times I get the following scenarios:

- it doesn't keep the settings. Every time you start it you have to accept some conditions and you need wifi connection in order to validate some settings. So without connection it is useless. This was the closest I could get
- sometimes it gets stuck on DACH version. I assume creating the third account for version 3.6.0 does this problem. So you should create accounts just for 2.6 and 3.5 and reuse the 3.5 one for 3.6 to have all european maps
- sometimes I get some IP invalid, use Deutsche Telekom ip. I'm not sure what is that haven't seen many with this problem

I've also tried another version based only on apk file for 3.6.0 from somewhere else which runs fine but only with internet connection. If it doesn't find a connection it will start crashing frequently so it is not usable.
All in all this is just a waste of time at least for galaxy users. Unless some better crack is created we can just try to use other softwares

Thanks for the info. I am using Galaxy S2 but it is maybe the same prolbem with this model.
But which soft do you suggest? Right now I am using Copilot. It works fine, but the type in function (searching for address) is not working good. When typing in a letter or number it types 3-4 letters, so every time I need to delete 3 and continue so until I have written the whole city or address.

I have no problem running this on my galaxy s. I don't have the problems you are speaking off. It only wanted to connect the very first time it started, after which it never asked for a connection again and it keeps all the settings just fine. I run android 2.3.3 if that makes a difference.

3.6.1 just released. Have upgraded and navigation still works.

No changelog though. Also no new map downloads sadly.

Just though you should know.
