No changelog though. Also no new map downloads sadly.

Just though you should know.

Thanks for the info. I am using Galaxy S2 but it is maybe the same prolbem with this model.
But which soft do you suggest? Right now I am using Copilot. It works fine, but the type in function (searching for address) is not working good. When typing in a letter or number it types 3-4 letters, so every time I need to delete 3 and continue so until I have written the whole city or address.

I'm using copilot too. It seems good but it doesn't seem to allow me to make a route between two different countries. It seems to be able to load only one country at a time. I'm using version 8.2 of Copilot live. Do you have the same problem ?
I've also tried igo which seems to have the most complete maps but unfortunately it seems too slow and last time I've used it it took me on wrong roads. I had to delete it for that.
Ndrive seems also good but if you want to drive to a country that uses Cyrillic alphabet you won't be able to recognize city names. Maybe there is an option to switch to latin alphabet for those ?
Sygic Aura 3.0 looks very good but unfortunately the maps for my country are incomplete. Too bad, looks very nice and the buildings are 3d.
I'm using an old version of Navigon now, 2.6.1 which is properly crac*ked. I'm waiting for a similar cr*ack for version 3.6.0 which has support for driving between countries.
All in all I can't seem to find an application that is good for all. You'll have to install several and use them as per situation.

I have no problem running this on my galaxy s. I don't have the problems you are speaking off. It only wanted to connect the very first time it started, after which it never asked for a connection again and it keeps all the settings just fine. I run android 2.3.3 if that makes a difference.

I've used the exact roadmap described in the first post and it doesn't seem to be able to save the settings. I'm using android 2.2.1 .. maybe that's the problem.

It works to make route to other countries. You just need to download the whole European map package. Not specified countries. If I remember it right :-)

I´m using cracked *.apk Navigon 3.6.0 for weeks. Just .apk file and Navigon 3.6.0 was installed and still working good. Navigon Fresh not work with my Samsung SGS2 (PC with Win7Profi 64bit)so walkthrough from 1st post is useless for me. But now I'm unable to upgrade to 3.6.1 via Market. Any solution?

I can confirm that: I downloaded a few time ago a complete european package and I can make a route between countries.

A few days ago I tried to download maps again, hoping I would get new updated maps... but then I had to choose a map and was unable to make a route between countries. Silly. So I went back to the "old" (not so long btw) maps to keep this feature.

(using Copilot 3.2.0.368)

Hi. Good to hear this. But I have no option to upgrade on Market, it offers me to buy Navigon... I installed v360 from Market-Militia, but have that FC probelm without WIFI connection. I have HTC Desire HD with the latest 2.3.3 Android version.
BTW, how can I check my maps version in this navigation?
THANKS!!

If you have samsung galaxy s don't waste your time..
I've tried most of the tricks around here and nothing works
After installing/removing several times I get the following scenarios:

- it doesn't keep the settings. Every time you start it you have to accept some conditions and you need wifi connection in order to validate some settings. So without connection it is useless. This was the closest I could get
- sometimes it gets stuck on DACH version. I assume creating the third account for version 3.6.0 does this problem. So you should create accounts just for 2.6 and 3.5 and reuse the 3.5 one for 3.6 to have all european maps
- sometimes I get some IP invalid, use Deutsche Telekom ip. I'm not sure what is that haven't seen many with this problem

I've also tried another version based only on apk file for 3.6.0 from somewhere else which runs fine but only with internet connection. If it doesn't find a connection it will start crashing frequently so it is not usable.
All in all this is just a waste of time at least for galaxy users. Unless some better crack is created we can just try to use other softwares

Regards

I'm using a Galaxy S too, and Navigon works fine. I did have 2.6.1 installed on Android 2.2.1 to start with, then upgraded to 3.5, then 3.6 as per instructions.

I since then upgraded to Android 2.3.4 and had to reinstal all my apps. Just went to marketplace and installed 3.6.0. No problems at all.

If you follow the guide then you will have the app in the "installed programs" part of marked and there it will show any updates like for all your other programs..

Only thing to remember is that if there is an update you should know that it MIGHT some day disable your app if navigon decides to do some changes that will kill off the not-legal versions.

Best choice if seeing an update is to go here and see if some brave soul have tried it and can confirm if something is broke or everything is fine.

No if you follow the guide, I wrote that you need to sure for NAVIGON in the market place and install the only free version that's in there (you have 3 versions if I am correct, 2 payed 1 free(update))
