It's not only because HTC HD has 528 vs 1Ghz, it's also because the CPU of the TG01 it's 1 generation ahead using Cortex A8 ARM instead of ARMv11

Just downloaded and tried.... stunning. The game has awsome 3D Graphics for a Windows Mobile game and runs extremly smothly. TG01 joins the 3D game market!

On HTC HD2, it works, but there is no multi-touch support.
