So it was as I suspected that things weren't running as they should and that a script was needed to sort it out.
The program is working just perfectly now I have popped these three files into it.

You don't know how much pain and work you have just saved me.
I am so glad that you shared this information with me and a big thank you goes to walek75 for coming up with the necessary files to make the sound work.

So for any others who gave up on this decent piece of Sat Nav software because there were no voice directions, then there is a cure, it just hasn't been well broadcasted enough.

This is what I did to make the program work on my Chinese generic WinCE 6.0 device.
I downloaded the 4 parts for 480x272 from post one onto an SD card
I then downloaded the file that lets the app run on non Medion devices and put it into the navigation folder, it overwrites the existing one.

The app will then run from mnavdce.exe but with no sound. You have to configure the language etc and enable the GPS as per normal (the GPS set up is as per the gif in the original post).

Then I downloaded the three files from Mio 720's post and pasted them into the Navigation folder.

I then ran the app from GoPal5_run.exe (which is one of the three files from Mio 720) in my device's menu and the TTS sound was enabled.

Incidentally I also inserted the vocaliserdll.dll file from the version in 2much's last post into the Navigation folder. I don't know if that had a bearing on it working, but it was missing in the original download.

I haven't got one on my Chinese device, so the TMC function is no good to me anyway.
Can you actually receive TMC alerts? Have you got a receiver?

The previous version Gopal AE 5.0 - 76169 work fine with sound and TMC (my device has a receiver..), the new version 5.0 AE 83573 posted by 2much (thanks to him ) work whith TMC but no sound....I used your procedure overwriting the new version on the previous and the sound works but not the TMC...

Can't help you there girodan.
It looks like you will have to stick with Gopal AE 5.0 76169 if both sound and TMC work on that version.
You don't need 83573 do you?
There can't be much difference in the two versions anyway can there?

I have downloaded loads of sat nav programs in my time and maps and I can usually get them to work.
Have you ever got Garmin Mobile XT to work on a non-Garmin device....not a phone?

I have tried lots of things, but have never got it to work. The Jetmouse keygen doesn't give me a correct code to put into the file sw.unl so I can't unlock the software and get the GPS to work.
I have unlocked maps on the device and they work.
But I can't navigate without a GPS fix and guidance software..
