guys just get an adblock addon on firefox and u wont get amy ads or pop ups...

 

Now these annoying ads are staying on the page forever. It means I am having to display the site twice. Grrr...

Those 8-second screen blocking ads haven't been showing for the last couple of days. If somebody changed or removed them, it's appreciated. Site has been much more pleasant to use.

I just had an advertising page that did not close after 8 seconds, and it was a porn site. If the recommended word-around for this is to use adblock, and every user adopts this, then no one will sponsor the site.

Just saying, if ads annoy you use that...

We really won't mind if you adblock them. In fact I'd encourage you to do so if they bug you. For those who they don't bother, they will stay, but if it takes you blocking our ads to continue visiting the site, please do so.

I would like to know anyone that those annoying full page ads don't bother? Isn't there a way to change your advertising type? Why not go back to the way the ads were previously?

Hi, I'm a man and I feel exactly the same when coming to mobilism for few days now, this ads are ugly as f..k and too intrusive.
I use kaspersky Internet Security to keep me safe regarding ads with the antibanner option but it looks like it can't block this ones.
Please find alternative solution, I can understand that a website need advertisement to survive but not this way !

Bullcrap! Get a working brain man. These offensive ads are ruining this site. Not only are they offensive pornography but they are also glitchy and hang up the browser for me. There has to be a better way without pissing off users and visitors. It is so annoying and offensive that I am considering no longer using Mobilism at all and no longer posting my own apps here.

I have been using and posting software I develop on this site for many years and I have never been so offended. By posting my freeware apps here I feel I am supporting this offensive and slimy porn advertising. I think it is time to move on from mobilism and only post my apps on my own website.

The full screen ads have now been completely removed and we replaced them with something we hope is less intrusive.

The only complaint I have with the ads on my kindle fire is that they often show up in the box that you cannot close or exit out of and they usually appear directly on top of the thumbs up symbol, making it impossible for me to thank some users for their updates without leaving the page, return, shrink or enlarge page and hope the ads do not cover the icon.

I was annoyed in March and stated that I would not return. I heard in early May that the ads were more reasonable and less intrusive. I visited today and they are back. The ad does not even display in the 8 seconds. When the less intrusive ads were displayed they were unintrusive and I could still read the pages without interruption. I actually read those ads and appreciated the vendors. I hope you will reconsider the interruptive ads or I will not upload or visit again.

Yep.. to quote that little blonde girl in the movie Poltergeist.. "Theeeey're Baaaaaack!" they were gone for awhile now they are back. Just as intrusive as ever..

Indeed, after being absent for about a month, they're back.
Terror of full screen ads has returned since a couple of days...
