Yes. The yankees have put Mediafire, Fileserve, Wupload, Putlocker, Depositfiles on its list.

David James,

Wow, I wasn't aware that professional baseball teams were in the file host business. (sarcasm)

Dude, don't call Americans yankees, because it is totally inaccurate (it means New Englanders of English Protestant origins) and is offensive to most (American) people anyway.

I'm not sure I would include the word most in that statement. Some perhaps.

Definition of yankee per the Bing dictionary:
1. somebody from United States: somebody who is from the United States
2. somebody from Northern state: somebody who comes from a Northern state of the United States, especially a soldier fighting on the side of the Union during the Civil War
3. somebody from New England: somebody who comes from one of the states of New England

Wikipedia: The term Yankee (sometimes shortened to Yank) has several interrelated meanings, referring to people from the United States. Outside the US it is used to refer to people from the US in general, whereas within the US it refers to people originating in the northeastern US, or still more narrowly New England, where application of the term is largely restricted to descendants of the English settlers of the region.

I'll call that one since my family on both sides have been Yanks since before the Revolution. None of them showed up after 1750 and some came before Penn and a few while New Amsterdam was New Amsterdam. I have several pins from the Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrams [must be here before 1690] and enough pins from the SAR/DAR that I would fall over on my face if I tried to wear them.

And every last one of them would have told you "I'm a Yank."

I'm so tired of some people criticizing the United States and blaming the U.S. government for all these filestorage websites "shutting down" (who no longer allow file sharing).

The U.S. only shut down Megaupload, and that was due to their involvement in money laundering and other criminal activity (allegedly).

The U.S. hasn’t shut down any other host sites. These sites are deciding to change their rules themselves.

If it wasn’t for Americans, we wouldn’t have half of the technology we have and we wouldn’t have as many of the books we have to upload or download (as so many authors are Americans).

you know what....

there really is no reason to bitch and moan about download sites that aren't working anymore, just learn to live with it, and move on, there are plenty of replacements that can be used that work just fine. Learn to use jdownloader and you'll do fine.

Just my two cents worth.

Wondergirl, you are so right! All my previous accounts were cancelled and my uploads deleted. Did I bitch about it? NO!!! I just upload to another host and renew my old posts as per the many requests I get.

So, let's face it guys! It is no use complaining, especially if something is free!

Just do it!

It's crazy how things are going with this file-sharing business. I'll admit, I download a lot of things, but most of it is for stuff that I would never pay for. Most of what I do like, I buy, simply because I like having the disc, book, whatever... It makes me feel like there's some sort of control with what I own. I just can't wait till this all gets resolved; it's messing up my "media sampling", lol.
