For the two posters above, turn off your data connection and try launching the program. Still works????

Do you have a data connection. Even though this is an offline application, it apparently needs a data connection when it starts. Someone else mentioned that on here, and I get the same thing when I put it into airplane mode. I haven't tried it with a non-existent data connection (not in airplane mode, but no wifi or 3g either), so I'm not sure if that causes a FC or not.

Sucks if this version needs a data connection. v4.0.1 works flawlessly with out any data connection. So stick with that one until this is sorted out.

I keep getting the no connection error after the initial download with both the cracked and non cracked version. HTC Evo running Cyanogen.

For those with the force close problem. In an older version I used to run last year... if you freeze the market (play) app with titanium backup, that solved the force close with no data problem back then. Forget what version.. was 3.6 I think. Worth a shot...

I tried both versions. All works good unless there is no data connection
If there is no data connection, it force closes.
I agree.. the whole point is to be able to use this when I'm in an area where I cannot get service.

Yes you can. Install both versions and download the maps you want.

These go into a common map folder but can only be accessed by the app corresponding to that country.

what are you guys talking about? I used the cracked version and I go into airplane mode run Navigon and it navigates just fine... you must be doing something wrong. Try going into the settings and on "Use internet connection if available" set it to "Off" ..you really shouldn't have to do this but it may help. Also make sure you have all the maps you want downloaded first.. ;)

I use both US and EU at the same phone: first installed one version (doesnt matter which one), then rename the folder "Navigon" on the sd card e.g. to "Navigon_US", thern install the second version and a new folder "Navigon" will install with data for the new version. The only thing you have to do is, to rename the folder you want to use to "navigon" again and then start the corresponding soft.

Hope, this will run for you too.
