Hi bjy8138...

I am not really the person to say so, but I think that rab is updating the applications often and he uploads the latest data file at the first page of this thread. I am not sure if you mean that but the latest update right now is the one that rab posted on April. I hope that this helps you somehow..

Good evening and Salam to everybody.
I am in trouble again. Due to poor performance, I factory reset my device (SGS2). I completed all the steps again to install skyscape reader and resources on Keyserver. But the reader was not accepting anything. I made some research on my device and found that in spite of making STATIC IP, I am still able to browse the internet...Meaning that Static IP is not working...I ticked/unticked many times but in vain...I even reformatted my device but still the same.

May I ask for help? I shall be much thankful to everybody coming for help.

Hi mirchichamu...Sorry for your trouble! I know how irritating it is if you need to do this again from the top! So it seems like your DNS settings are not set correctly! Can you please provide us with some pieces of information? When you try connecting to the keyserver do you get a message saying "client connected"? Because if you do, then my assumption is wrong! If you followed the guide correctly as suggested at Post: #796 at page 54 then you might consider deleting your current skyscape reader and try this trick I describe below in case your reader is the issue...
Open keyserver and right click on any app on the list you see...You will get the menu (the one that helped you to download the apps you installed). There is an option there that says: "download the latest reader update". Just click on this and you will receive the latest one and since it is given by the keyserver you will be sure that this version will work! It is updated just like the apps are (through the PC when you receive newer data xml files)! I do not know if this trick will do it since the version of the reader you will get from the market will be the latest one so this might not allow you to "downgrade" the reader. Maybe the easiest way to get the previous version would be through mobilism (viewtopic.php?f=425&t=313112&hilit=skyscape). This is version 1.5.23 and it definitely is working!
Then you should follow the guide as described at the post I told you to see if it will work this way!
Please let me know if this helped and if you are still experiencing trouble!
Good luck to you!!!

Thanks a lot brother maggy87 for coming for help.
I cannot connect to Keyserver. As I told My device cannot connect to static IP, in spite of the fact that I have entered correct figures for static IP. But still my device is showing the actual IP also( Showing both addresses). That's why my device connect to the actual IP.
I think there may be problem in my router which is not assigning static IP???? Actually I used my other Android phone and installed Skyscape resources without any problem.
When I opened my router interface, I found that this static IP was assigned to my other android phone. So I deleted that device from router. BUT now it is not accepting static IP. I don't know whether the problem is in my Device ( SGS2) or in the router.

And yes I installed the same version Of Skyscape reader which I downloaded through Keyserver.

Edited: I can still enter static IP in my other android device (galaxy Y). And that only shows static IP. On the router also it shown Static IP. So it means there is problem in my SGS2.

Well I hope that I will manage to give you a hand even though I am not familiar with your problem. If I understood correctly your current problem is that you are unable to set static IP in your device after this process. I searched the internet if others had the same issue and I would suggest that you see this site (http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/son ... -save.html) in case that this refers to your issue. In case I misunderstood you, I would suggest that you reset your router (usually there is a small hole that you can press for some seconds for this to happen but you can find out by reading the manual of the router) just in case that something went wrong with the modifications you tried. I would also suggest that you uninstall skyscape again and then try the process from the top to have a "clean" install. Please make sure that you first go to setting -> wifi -> wifi settings and DISCONNECT from any network you are connected to. Make sure you have enabled wifi from the settings. On the screen where you see the list of the available wifi networks please press the "menu" button of your device (usually it is on the lower left corner of the device but there might be slight variations; I am sure though that you are familiar with this since you have done it before). You will see that you get a grey menu on the lower part of the screen. Check Advanced there (or any similar choice you might have). In IP Settings choose Use Static IP.... I assume that you have already done this process with no success but I repeat it just in case... After you set correctly IP Address, Gateway and DNS using the IP address, the default gateway and the DNS 1 that keyserver suggested you should be good to go. Just make sure that you re-connect to your wifi network using the new DNS settings. IF THIS IS NOT WORKING AT FIRST, which might be the issue in your case, try to disconnect and re-connect once more. Maybe this is what you need to connect! In case that you are still unable to use static ip please let me know to see if we will figure it out! Good luck!

Thanks brother maggy87 for your continuous support.
I would like to inform you that ultimately I succeeded to install ultimately the resources. I searched the net and found that there is a program called WIFI STATIC available on Google Play as free. I installed that application and luckily that application corrected my problem. I was able to assign a static IP BUT again another problem occurred, that Skyscape was not accepting any false e-mail address. Probably they have done something in the program which detects e-mails like qwerty@gmaiiil.com, dsa@hotmaiil.com and many other combinations ( what we people are doing). BUT when I inserted an e-mail more like a true e-mail address, it accepted immediately. This I am writing because somebody else may be having the same problem.
Anyway thanks a million for being so much concerned about my problem. Also many thanks to all the forum members who are coming for help. JazakAllah khair.

try wifi static app and apply the wifi settings as u mentioned sometimes wifi ignores static IP settings and goes online through the router, I suspect that's what is happening with you.

Thanks a lot Bro, I downloaded Wifi Static App and finally managed to get my mobile to connect using static ip. I kept trying for more than 2 hours, with your advise, it took 5 minutes.

I dont know, but for sure it is working perfectly in Android ICS 4.0.4

So, there is no reason for failure in galaxy S3.

I didn't try on galaxy S3 as I don't have it BUT I see no reason why it shouldn't work? You may be doing something wrong.
