This is the complete installer, including all the features of my free installer apps and my paid installer apps, all in one handy easy to use app!
!!Now has guides for Ubuntu, Backtrack and Debian all in one app!!
It is recommended that you try at least one of the free apps before buying to make sure the method works on your device.
By Buying this version you get:
*Install guides for Ubuntu, Backtrack and Debian
*All updates for all linux distros before other apps
*All features from the paid ubuntu and backtrack apps
*All future Linux distros I support
*Boot widgets for all support linux distros
!NOTE!
To use the one click boot you MUST have the terminal app used in the install guide installed on your device. That is this app here: https://market.android.com/details?id=j ... ndroidterm
If the app was included in your ROM uninstalled it then reinstall it on the market, if its included in the ROM IT WILL NOT WORK.
This app includes everything you need to install Ubuntu/Backtrack/Debian within android and get it running on your device!
(This does not replace android on your device it just runs Ubuntu/Backtrack/Debian ontop of android)
Requires:
Root
1GHZ processor (recommended)
Android 2.1 or higher
Kernel will loop device support (this is included in most custom ROM's)
SD card with at least 3.5GB of free space for large image (2.5GB for small image)
Data connection on your device
Ext2 file system support
What is this?
This is a app featuring a range of customized linux distro images optimized for the ARM processor (the processor android runs on). This will allow you to run a full Ubuntu/Backtrack/Debian system within android (You can still make calls, text, and use android without having to reboot your phone!).
If you are not sure you device will work please try the free version, or check out the list of working devices ROM/kernels here:
http://linuxonandroid.blogspot.com/p/wo ... vices.html
Please email me if you have any problems with the app, or any features you would like to see in the future.

When the description mentions large and small images, does that mean that the app will need to download the image via an internet connection or google play? Is it possible to download these images via a laptop connection to save it to my hard drive and then transfer the image to the smartphone's SD card?

Not to be dense, but I could visit

http://linuxonandroid.blogspot.co.uk/p/downloads.html

with my laptop, download the Linux version I want and then place it on my SD card where the app can find it? I saw this app at google play and it excites me if I could turn my phone into a Linux machine.

@ronp76

Yup. Go their and get the image of what you want, say debian. Also get the boot script. Create a folder on your SD named debian(or ubuntu etc...) and extract/move the image and .sh files to it.

I have debian running on my Tablet, bit laggy but kind of cool to have.

You'll also need a VNC and Terminal app. If you go into this app and follow the install guide it will tell you everything you need to get it working.
