Pixel Fixxer v1.0 (freeware)
Requirements: PPC version: Tested on WM5 / PC version: Tested on WinXP
Overview: PixelFixxer is a small program, that may help to recover stuck pixels.
Other applications I found so far flashed every pixel on the screen
(even good ones), which - in some cases - could make more stuck pixels
in the process.
With this application you can place a 3x3 pixel square on the failed
pixel, the others will be inactive, so they won't stuck or die. Try to
find out the x-y coordinates of the pixel to be repaired and hit the
start button. Let it run for a while (sometimes it only works after an
all night run) and it might start to work
Use at your own risk! (I don't think that anything would go wrong)

More Info:
I wrote the program, that's my first app on PPC. (Copy the exe to your PPC, and run it)
For the PC version: Unpack and execute.
Download Instructions:
Pocket PC version: http://tabletop.extra.hu/pixelfixxer.exe
PC version: http://tabletop.extra.hu/pixfixPC.zip

I think he's saying that this is what it does:

Sometimes your screen will have a bad pixel (one that doesn't change color like it's supposed to anymore). This program can somehow fix this problem in some cases. It's NOT a photo editing/resizing program.

This sounds like a nice program that you made.
Could you please make one for a PC?
I have a LCD 19" screen that has one red dot in it. Maybe your program could fix that?
From what I understand only a colored pixel can maybe be repaired. I have another screen with a white dot in it. Could that be repaired?

Thank you

S.

For your PC's LCD try to use the JScreenFix (http://www.jscreenfix.com/). There you can resize the java app window, and move it over the bad area. But if you want, i'm going to port it for PC.

Thank you Sleepyone,

How could I go about finding the x-y coordinates of the pixel to be repaired ?

Try to find out what's the coordinates of the stuck pixel. Type it to the right place (X:,Y:). If you missed, try again. X is the horizontal coordinate, Y is the vertical. Your monitors upper left corner is the (0,0) pixel. I hope it's going to work.

I just tried it and it was very easy to find the bad pixel. What is the recommended interval to use? Would you leave it working all night long with worrying? Could it do any damage?
It looks good.
Thank you

Shim
