It's true, i can not unlock with jetmouse's keygen because maker and administrators don't share it... 8)
But I do have and use the Notfaker's 'medicine'. And with this works perfect. With Notfaker's version you don't need keygen. Even topografical map of Netherlands works...

ok, thx Press, you have clarified to me all about this map version but is there any other map that could be unlocked using the keygen, for Garmin PNA's i mean? maybe another map version? or do you know if in a next future this keygen will be "upgraded to unlock also the Garmin PNA's?

thanls again!

No way, until now, to make a map working on a Garmin PNA without a legitimate unlock code from Garmin.

One is to realize a keygen in a well know Operating System (as Windows Mobile, Palm and Symbian are) and one is try to realize the same thing in a unknown Operating System (as the Garmin PNAs are).

There are no information at all about the own Operating System by Garmin for his PNAs.

They was able to realize even a keygen for the TomTom PNAs (but the new 7XX.XXXX map version), but don't forget that this devices works with a "light" Linux version, for what exist even a SDK.

We have simply to wait for someone on the scene that will have the necessary skill to realize what we want.

Meanwhile, we have to be satisfied that ALL the Garmin maps works with Garmin Mobile XT (I've just installed the BlueChart Atlantic v9.0 on my PocketPC... 8) ).

Hey Boss, with the supplied MAP ID and the JetMouse Keygen, no problem at all to make this map working with any Garmin Mobile XT version...

Works flawessly on my nuvi360 ;)

...just rename the file to GMAPSUPP.IMG, generate a key (or ask for it here: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=35367) for your Unit ID and MapID 284, save your unlock key to GMAPSUPP.UNL and put the UNL file to the same directory as the IMG.

thx press again! sad news but thx for your help.
I've asked all that because someone answered to me in the garmin unlock codes threed viewtopic.php?f=38&t=35367&start=90# that it would be possible if i send the Unit ID provided by the mapsource program when connecting the nuvi 350 to the pc.
now thanks to your comments, i can see that it wouldn't run.

can you confirm it?
How do you get the unit id? can you explain to me step by step your followed procedure please?

In your nuvi: Go to Settings -> System -> About. Get your unit ID there.
Post an unlock key request for that UnitID and MapID 284 here: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=35367

Now you have two options here:

Option 1 - saving mapset on a storage media (SD Card)
--------------------------------------------------
1. Once you get your unlock code, save it into a file called GMAPSUPP.UNL (using Notepad let's say)
2. Rename your downloaded GMAPPROM.IMG to GMAPSUPP.IMG.
3. Create a directory called Garmin on your storage media root directory
4. Put both GMAPSUPP.IMG and GMAPSUPP.UNL to \Garmin directory.
5. Insert your storage media into the nuvi and there you go!

Option 2 - overwriting existing preloaded mapset within the nuvi
-------------------------------------------------------------
1. Once you get your unlock code, save it into a file called GMAPPROM.UNL (using Notepad let's say)
1. Connect your nuvi to the PC and go to Garmin directory.
2. Make a backup copy of your current GMAPPROM.IMG mapset file.
3. Delete GMAPPROM.IMG mapset file from nuvi.
4. Upload the new GMAPPROM.IMG mapset to your nuvi (same directory) along with GMAPPROM.UNL and there you go!

Indeed I think is the first time I have to quote myself.

I was wrong!!!

The JetMouse Keygen works perfectly as well for the Garmin PNAs too.

Evidently, Garmin used the same unlock routine on both the Garmin Mobile XT software and the PNAs (a really dumb choice; even TomTom used a different routine on his different devices, even if this don't preserved it from the fall...).

Mine was a common mistake: I wrote, as the file name to put into the "Garmin" directory on my Nüvi, "gmapsup.unl" instead of "gmapsupp.unl".

Correcting this mistake, all works perfectly and I was able to use the "City Navigator Europe NT 2008" on my "old" Nüvi 360 too.

I apologize all the Users of this fabulous Forum for my mistake, that possibly create some misunderstanding on the rigth possibility we have now.

Hi all from Italy

it works perfect without any keygen in my asus p535, I have installed garmin xt Notfaker's version too, and I just renamed this map to "gmapsupp" and copy to sd card into garmin folder, all perfect doing it. In the ppc I see "europe NT 2008 full map" but is still not so good as IGO or TOMTOM maps. Anyway good work.

Hi Ferman_ci

Do you say that the last level of TomTom or IGO Europe maps is still better than this one ??
Really ?? Because I consider the map upgrade the most important value for any navigation system, and if this 2008 Garmin map is not better than last NavTeq or TeleAtlas map I will not take in consideration this navigation system.
Thanks for your replay.

@ Press.
Ok. What you wrote in your post regarding my question is right. But any way we have to categorize this nice release.
So, could you said me if I can write this specification in the opening post ??:
Requirements: Any Windows Mobile PocketPc with Garmin Mobile XT navigator installed, or Garmin PNAs.
Overview: Garmin 2008 Europe complete map.

for example, I´m going to travel next month to Lithuania, in this country IGO and TOMTOM have complete map for all cities and roads( 99%), I was looking this NT2008 and in Klaipeda for example there are only 3 streets (is the second or third city of lithuania, big one), so I´ll not use it, I only checked this country and very poor map, really.
