I would just like to say i am disappointed in the ads. Not so much the embedded ones but the ones that redirect you to another site. I got a virus from one of those and had to factory reset my laptop. FYI, i am using Avira antivir and i believe the site that gave me the virus was apply4cash. I have been a member at ppcwarez.org for some time now and this will be my last visit. Thank you for the years your site has been ad-free but all good things come to an end.

We havent been able to confirm this but yours is the second report of this. We are disabling our current ads as we speak. I apologize sincerely for this, and can only assure you that it was never our intention to spread malicious software.

I am being told the program is called Internet Security 2010, and its removal instructions can be found here: http://www.geekpolice.net/malware-remov ... t16909.htm

Again, my apologies for this, we will be reporting this to the ad provider (adbrite) and have for now disabled it.

I would just like to say the website has improved dramatically in the past few days. The ad redirects are gone and the site is loading a lot quicker. Please keep the site the way it is now.

Honestly this site is excellent you can get free games, apps, and movies. I understand if you hit with a virus , you will be upset. But come-on everyone has benifit from this site alot. Your getting all these items for free, so I dont mind clicking on ADs to help Lifehacker out. Please lets use some common sense here.

We moved away from the ad provider who was giving us viral ads, we're now using an in house system where we screen the ads and google.

i cant believe that people are complaining about ads... this forum truly has unlimited choices and unlimited possibilities, unlike so many others.
