Hi,

With the domain name change, we are going to introduce a new theme that is more web 2.0 than the one we use at the moment. We are looking at changing the theme around the end of May. In light of this we need some new banners.

The criteria for the new banners are:
  • Must contain the word mobilism or mobilism.org and a catchy slogan such as 'better than toast!', but be creative
  • Must be compatible with a background colour of #404040
  • Must be transparent (either PNG or GIF) and not contain a background design for in case we change the background in the future (for example our current banner has the 'bubble' at the top, we don't want that)
  • Must be accompanied by mobile banners with the same look and feel as the main banner, however they don't need to be identical (eg the QVGA version can just have the same font with no pictures).

The banner sizes are:
  • Main banner - 800px x 80px
  • VGA banner - 460px x 46px
  • QVGA banner - 300px x 30px

The prizes will be 1000WRZ$ + RS account for the first place design, 750WRZ$ for second place, and 500WRZ$ for third place. As well as the PNG formats the winner will be expected to provide PSD (or similar) originals.

The contest will close on the 12:01AM 21st May (UTC) and voting will take place by the users via a poll between the 21st and 28th of May.

Great first entry craigster, and your small banners look way better than when I try to hack up and resize existing banners. Can you drop the background though please? The light stripe at the back... it needs to be transparent or on solid #404040.

Great entries guys!

If we're using pics can we get maybe a GPS satellite in there as well? Maybe a generic software logo, GPS logo, movie logo etc as an alternate to branding because Symbian and other systems are being discussed and we're forever expanding.

Don't be afraid to mix it up.
